Photography Software: Apple Final Cut Pro 3.0

June 30th, 2006

Apple Final Cut Pro 3.0Though Apple Final Cut Pro 3.0 is a bit expensive, it is a brilliant photo programme.

The user interface is great. Everything is arranged logically as it should be. It could only be desired  the tool pallet was a little larger with some short-cut buttons for a quick and easy video or audio dissolve and for other editing features such as lift, close gap, split edits and ripple delete. Do not get misguided by the appearance of lack of some more advanced features, they here.
Another great thing about the programme is the media management which allows you to do a lot of things if you have a compound project. Compositing is another strong side of Final Cut. To sum up, organizing your work-space is easy, fun, and great. You can vary premade layouts or create, modify and do your own.

Digital Equipment: DigiPower DPS-9000 Battery Power Pack

June 30th, 2006

External Battery PackBattery duration is one of the major if not the most major problem among camera owners.

It may be not that urgent for average photographers, as it is easy enough to pack along a spare battery or a set of them for weekend. But if you are a professional or just a keen photographer it can be a real burden. And the worst thing is that the batteries always go dead at the moment the best shot of the day is about to happen.

Now, the Digipower company came with a good solution to the battery issue. They created the most universal external pack to date. With its cables and adapters, the device can power any consumer or pro-level camera. The product is called the DPS-9000.
