Let’s start with the Nikon D5000 that has gathered a great deal of attention lately. This 12.9 megapixel with DX-format CMOS sensor, 4fps continuous shooting and HD video capture has been reviewed at dpreview.com and they call its image quality and dynamic range undeniably impressive.

<p>Recent Camera Reviews are here again - Let&#8217;s go!</p>
<p>Let’s start with the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/15/6392.html">Nikon D5000</a> that has gathered a great deal of attention lately. This 12.9 megapixel with DX-format CMOS sensor, 4fps continuous shooting and HD video capture has been reviewed at <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikond5000/">dpreview.com</a> and they call its image quality and dynamic range undeniably impressive.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/content/Nikon-D5000-Digital-Camera-Review-20663.htm">Digitalcamerainfo.com</a> also did a reviewed of <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/15/6392.html">the D5000</a>. They are a bit stricter - they found its noise performance good and liked the way it handled high-contrast scenes. But as to image sharpness, the camera didn&#8217;t meettheir high expectations.</p>
<p>Its lack of sharpness was also stated by <a href="http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/nikon/d5000-review">Dcresource</a>, but it is &#8220;like most of <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/nikon-cameras">Nikon</a>&#8217;s D-SLRs,&#8221; they said. Additionally, they mentioned the colors being generally pleasing, though reds could&#8217;ve been a bit more saturated.</p>
<p>If you are still not tired of the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/15/6392.html">Nikon  D5000</a>, you can drop at one more place to read its review - <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/nikon_d5000_review/">photographyblog.com</a>.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/21/6648.html">Pentax K-7</a>, the most intriguing announcement of last month has been already reviewed – at <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/pentax_k7_review/">photographyblog.com</a>. Its specifications read like a keen photographer&#8217;s wish list and the image quality appeared to be very good with few drawbacks.</p>
<p>A non-SLR digital camera that uses interchangeable lenses, 12.1-megapixel <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/11/6120.html">Panasonic GH1</a> joins this company. Though it doesn’t have the mirror box and pentaprism arrangement, it produces image quality that is pretty close the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/26/6255.html">Canon Rebel T1i</a>’s. Its review has recently appeared at <a href="http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/DMCGH1/DMCGH1A.HTM">imaging-resource.com</a>.</p>
<p>On the contrary, <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/panasonic_lumix_dmc_gh1_review/ ">Photographyblog</a> in their review state the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/11/6120.html">GH1</a>&#8217;s so-so image quality in low-light conditions, allthough praising the work of its video recording function.</p>
<p>And what about the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/26/6255.html">Canon Rebel T1i</a> (aka 500D in the US, naturally) itself? Well, it has recently won a review at <a href="http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=4010&amp;review=canon+rebel+t1i">digitalcamerareview.com</a>. According to it, this 15.1-megapixel camera with APS-C sized CMOS sensor delivers excellent HD video quality, exceptional ISO performance, andaccurate color and dynamic range.</p>
<p>12-megapixel <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/26/6020.html">Olympus Evolt E-620</a> SLR camera that crosses the bridge between entry level models <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2008/05/15/4713.html">E520</a> and <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/01/6295.html">E-450</a> and the semiprofessional <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2008/12/17/5337.html">E-30</a> <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> was reviewed at <a href="http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/review/197/page_1.html">letsgodigital.org</a>. They don’t complain much about its image quality but would like to see its signal/noise ratio improved.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/olympus/e620-review">Dcresource</a> are really glad that such a camera can enter your home without breaking the bank.</p>
<p>And at last we have the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/25/6662.html">Sony A-380</a> that was reviewed by <a href="http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/review/198/page_1.html">letsgodigital.org</a>. This 14.2-megapixel camera is the successor of the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2008/02/10/4486.html">Alpha 350</a> though only its design is entirely new. As to image quality, it was slightly improved.</p>
<p>Next time we&#8217;ll meet either lenses or compacts, I am not sure. Anyhow, stay in touch. Bye!</p>

<p>Hello, you are reading Recent Camera Reviews, and today we are browsing campact digicams.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/06/6332.html">Canon Digital IXUS 110 IS aka SD960 IS</a>, a compact 12 megapixel  digital camera with a wide-angle zoom lens was reviewed at <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/canon_digital_ixus_110_is_review/">photographyblog.com</a>. The camera uses 4x zoom with Optical  Image Stabilization and can shoot 720p HD video.</p>
<p>Its sibling the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/01/6505.html">Canon Powershot SD970 IS</a> got a review at <a href="http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=3980&amp;review=canon+powershot+sd970">digitalcamerareview.com</a>. The camera  features 12.1 megapixels 5x optical zoom, 3.0 inch monitor and 1280&#215;720 HD video capability – all in a metal body. The reviewer regrets only about the lack of manual exposure controls though image quality and color are first rate.</p>
<p>Another <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/canon-cameras">Canon</a>, the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/05/6077.html">Powershot  SX1</a>, a 10-megapixel compact with CMOS sensor, 20X optical zoom, and 4 FPS continuous drive mode at full-resolution, was reviewed by <a href="http://www.neocamera.com/review_canon_sx1.html">neocamera.com</a>. They’ve found a lot of downsides among its brilliant specs: loss of details  even at low ISO, high chromatic aberrations and limited dynamic range.</p>
<p>Still one more <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/canon-cameras">Canon</a> - the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/20/5951.html">PowerShot D10</a> - a rugged waterproof / shockproof / freezeproof camera with 12.1-megapixel sensor, DIGIC 4 image processor, and a 3x optical zoom lens has been recently reviewed, this time at <a href="http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/D10/D10A.HTM">imaging-resource.com</a>. They assume that it’s a unique  underwater camera.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/olympus-mju-7000.cfm">Cameras.co.uk</a> has recently  reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/11/6563.html">Olympus Stylus/MJU 7000</a>, a 12-megapixel compact camera with 7x zoom, image stabilization and 3 inch LCD screen. The camera is said to be suitable for those who are searching for a smaller camera with some extra zoom.</p>
<p>Very close to the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/11/6563.html">Stylus 7000</a> is the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/26/6259.html">Olympus Stylus 9000</a>, a 12-megapixel metal camera, with 10X stabilized zoom lens, a 2.7 inch LCD and plenty of scene modes. It was reviewed at <a href="http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/digitalcameras/0,39001468,44458797p,00.htm">asia.cnet.com</a>, and they regret about its image quality that was slightly lower than it was expected. Nevertheless, it’s a nice user-friendly, long-zoom compact.</p>
<p>The<a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/05/5794.html"> Fuji Finepix F200exr</a>, a 12 megapixel digital camera with 5x, wide angle lens, renowned for its improved performance for high contrast and lowlight photography, was also reviewed by <a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/fuji-finepix-f200exr.cfm">cameras.co.uk</a>. It produces good image quality in terms of sharpness and colors.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.steves-digicams.com/2009_reviews/sony_t90.html">Steves-digicams.com</a> have reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/06/08/6746.html">Sony CyberShot T90</a> camera with 12.1 megapixels of resolution, a 4x optical zoom and 3-inch touch-panel LCD screen. Its images are good for a camera of this size and colors look very natural, they state.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2008/12/02/5171.html">Ricoh R10</a>, a point-and-shoot metal camera featuring a 9.1 Megapixel CMOS sensor, a 7.1X optical zoom, sensor-shift image stabilization, and 4 frame/second continuous shooting, was reviewed at <a href="http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/ricoh/cx1-review">dcresource.com</a>. They CX1 call some of its features unique and useful, but still found it hard to recommend due to its mediocre image quality.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all for today, have a nice weekend!</p>

<p>This time we are inspecting easy-to-use compact cameras. Great you&#8217;ve joined us. Hi!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/canon-ixus-95-is.cfm">Cameras.co.uk</a> have reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/18/6180.html">CanonSD1200 Delph</a> aka IXUS 95 IS, a 10-megapixel point-and-shoot ultra compact camera with 3X optical zoom, a 2.5 inch LCD and an optical viewfinder. They’ve found its very good all round picture quality and a great start up time.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/canon_digital_ixus_95_is_review/">Photographyblog</a> has reviewed this camera as well. They define it as an undemanding snapper for the unpretentious photographer with very impressive build quality is, as well as speed of operation and design.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dcresource.com/reviews/sony/dsc_hx1-review">Dcresource.com</a> have posted a review of the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/06/6090.html">Sony CyberShot DSC-HX1</a>. It features a 9.0-megapixel resolution, SMOS sensor 28mm wide angle 20x optical zoom lens. Despite such impressive specs, the reviewer stated that image quality is disappointing as it suffers from too much noise reduction.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/sony-dsc-hx1.cfm">Cameras.co.uk</a> also support the idea that the camera&#8217;s quality is great if you put aside images quality it delivers.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/06/6533.html">Sony CyberShot DSC-T900</a>, 12.1-megapixel ultracompact with 4x optical zoom and HD video function, was reviewed by <a href="http://www.trustedreviews.com/digital-cameras/review/2009/05/26/Sony-Cyber-shot-DSC-T900/p1">trustedreviews.com</a>. Sounds nice, but it costs a wallet-crushing £325. You can get an entry-level <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> with a lens for less.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.digitalcamerainfo.com/content/Sony-Cyber-shot-DSC-T900-Digital-Camera-Review-20642.htm">Digitalcamerainfo.com</a> stated also the camera’s lack of useful controls and options. But image quality is not a problem as it delivers surprisingly excellent color accuracy and image stabilization, as well as the image sharpness.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/04/5786.html">Nikon Coolpix L100</a> as reviewed at <a href="http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/nikon-coolpix-l100/4505-6501_7-33517678.html?tag=mncol;lst">reviews.cnet.com</a>. The camera features 10 megapixels, 15x optical zoom, wide-angle lens, and a 3-inch LCD screen. It is a low-cost, easy-to-use megazoom. It has average image quality, but nothing surprising in it - this is no more than a basic point-and-shoot with a wide-angle lens and a 15x zoom.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=3999&amp;review=casio+exilim+fs10">Digitalcamerareview.com</a> have reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/05/23/6659.html">Casio Exilim FS10</a>, a 9.1 megapixel camera with HD movie capabilities and an ability to shoot 6-megapixel images at 30fps. That’s nice! But poor low-light performance, limited zoom power and limited battery life didn’t run away from the reviewer’s attention.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/18/6180.html">Canon Powershot SD1200</a>, a 10-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and a number of features that make it easy to use, was also reviewed by <a href="http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=3987&amp;review=canon+powershot+sd1200">digitalcamerareview.com</a>. This camera gets higher mark – they state its great Autofocus and ISO settings performance. Though nothing is perfect - when magnified, some images are noisy and grainy.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s not the ending, see you later!)</p>

<p><a href="http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Canon_EOS_500D_Digital_Rebel_T1i/">Cameralabs.com</a> have reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/26/6255.html">Canon EOS 500D (Rebel T1i)</a>, a  15.1-megapixel <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> camera with 22.3 x 14.9mm image sensor, 3 inch LCD with 920,000 dots and a burst rate of 3.4 frames per second. <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/canoneos500d/">Dpreview</a> have also reviewed this camera and they regret that RAW files don’t provide extra image quality compared to shooting in JPEG.</p>
<p>The<a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/26/6020.html"> Olympus E-620</a>, a 12.3 Megapixel <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> with built-in anti-shake facilities, Live View, a 2.7in screen and a continuous shooting of 4fps was reviewed at <a href="http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Olympus_E-620/">cameralabs.com</a>. As to image quality, they say, the E-620 kit can out-perform the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/canon-cameras">Canon</a> EOS 500D / Rebel T1i kit in a number of respects, despite the bigger sensor and three extra Megapixels of its rival.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/olympus_e620_review/">Photographyblog</a> call <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/26/6020.html">the E-620</a> &#8220;one of the cheapest and most full-featured mid-range SLR cameras, with compact size and light weight, and excellent image quality in good light.&#8221; Though they note that there’s the lack of ability to shoot video.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/01/6295.html">Olympus E-450</a>, a 10-megapixel light <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> camera with a 2.7 inch LCD screen, 3 in-camera Art Filter effects and an improved Live View mode with contrast detection autofocus and and face detection in Live View mode, was reviewed at <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/olympus_e450_review/sample_images/">photographyblog.com</a>.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/15/6392.html">Nikon D5000</a> <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> was reviewed by <a href="http://www.cameralabs.com/reviews/Nikon_D5000/index.shtml">cameralabs.com</a>. It features a 12 Megapixel CMOS sensor, sensitivity range of ISO200-3200 and burst mode of 4fps ISO. This is ‘upper-entry-level&#8217; <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> aimed at beginners or those wanting a step-up from a basic camera.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/review/196/page_1.html">Letsgodigital.org</a>, in their turn praise the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/04/15/6392.html">Nikon D5000</a>&#8217;s signal/noise ratio is definitely on a high level, as well as the dynamic range and the exposure.</p>
<p>And, finally, small, light and easy-to-use <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2008/09/26/4966.html">Pentax K2000/K-m</a> <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/dslr-cameras">DSLR</a> camera featuring 10.2-megapixel resolution, 2.7 inch, 230,000 dot-high resolution, wide view LCD panel, Shake Reduction and Dust Reduction was reviewed at <a href="http://reviews.cnet.com/digital-cameras/pentax-k2000-with-18/4505-6501_7-33662268.html?tag=mncol;lst">reviews.cnet.com</a>.</p>

<p>Hello, here come new camera reviews:</p>
<p>10-megapixel <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/18/6180.html">Canon SD1200 (aka Digital IXUS 95 IS)</a>, stylish and ultra-compact point-and-shoot camera, was reviewed at <a href="http://www.neocamera.com/review_canon_sd1200_more.html">neocamera.com</a>. It is stated that it produces images of good quality and performs admirably well in all areas, but have a tendency towards over-exposure.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/panasonic-dmc-fx550.cfm">Cameras.co.uk</a> have reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/01/28/5730.html">Panasonic Lumix DMC FX580</a> (aka FX 550 in Europe). It is an ultra compact touch-screen digital camera that boasts 12-megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom, 25mm wide angle lens and <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/panasonic-cameras">Panasonic</a>’s Intelligent Auto mode for point-and-shoot operation. The author of the review stated that they would be very happy to own one.</p>
<p>Compact ultra-zoom (10x) camera with 8.1 megapixel, <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/sony-cameras">Sony</a>’s intelligent auto technology, and 720p HD video recording, the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/22/5971.html">Sony CyberShot H20</a> was reviewed by <a href="http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/q209grouplongzoom/page7.asp">dpreview.com</a>. They’ve found it or less all right from an image quality point of view but the camera definitely lacks versatility.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/03/24/6239.html">Canon PowerShot A1100</a> has been recently reviewed by <a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/canon-powershot-a1100-is.cfm">cameras.co.uk</a>. It’s a brand new member of the popular PowerShot A- series range of compact digital cameras and features 12.1 megapixel sensor, 4x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD, true optical viewfinder and optical image stabilizer. It produces surprisingly good image quality.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/canon-powershot-sx200-is.cfm">Cameras.co.uk</a> have also reviewed the <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/24/5984.html">Canon Powershot SX200 IS</a>, a compact 12.1- megapixel digital camera, with 12x zoom and 28mm wide-angle lens. Besides its full manual controls mode, the camera takes in advantage in offering very good picture quality. “You are unlikely to find much better quality elsewhere.”</p>
<p>On the contrary, the reviewers from <a href="http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/camera/review/195/page_1.html">Letsgodigital.com</a> state that <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/24/5984.html">Canon PowerShot SX200 IS</a> provides fine results in terms of  the signal/noise ratio and high ISOs.  Still, <a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/category/canon-cameras">Canon</a> does drop a stitch when it comes to chromatic aberration, which diminishes the generally high image quality.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.shotaddict.com/wordpress/2009/02/04/5786.html">Nikon Coolpix L100</a> is a 10-megapixel mid-price ultrazoom with its 28mm wide-angle 15x zoom lens and optical image stabilization. <a href="http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews/nikon_coolpix_l100_review/">Photographyblog.com</a> in their review state that it’s wonderful to have such a zoom in your camera but unfortunately it belongs to the most under-featured cameras within the highly competitive segment of superzoom cameras.</p>
<p>Have a good weekend, see you next time!</p>
