    October 25th, 2009
Panasonic TM350 Full-HD Semi Professional Camcorder

Panasonic announced the new, limited edition HD semi professional camcorder, the Panasonic TM350. Being a sister model to the HDC-TM300, it offers larger capacity flash memory, new Advanced O.I.S and improved low light performance.

The TM350 Full-HD 3MOS camcorder has three separate color sensors to process red, green and blue, so you get clearer true-to-life color. Other highlights include 12 x optical zoom, a manual focus ring, Electronic Viewfinder (EVF), Hot Shoe and mic terminal.

The camcorder also records still images with a resolution of up to 10.6 megapixels and allows simultaneous recording of motion images and still images with 8.3 megapixels. In addition, there are iA (Intelligent Auto) O.I.S (Optical Image Stabilizer functions in the camera for beautiful results namely in still image shooting.

Intelligent Auto works as well for the movie mode; it helps the camera adjust its settings to match shooting conditions.

Panasonic’s Advanced O.I.S. (for both motion and still images) eliminates the effects of hand-shake as you shoot. Its new Active mode even extends the hand-shake correction range to allow shooting while walking moving.

The new model is equipped with AF/AE Tracking, which automatically tracks a moving subject once you have pointed to it on the camcorder’s touch screen.

The camcorder is elegantly finished in stunning gunmetal. It will be available exclusively from mid October at Panasonic Stores for a limited period only.

The lens is stabilized by the upgraded POWER O.I.S system to ensure that the photos are sharp. The High Sensitivity Mode and the he Intelligent ISO mode also jelp reduce blurring.

Other worthy features include Face RecognitionAF Tracking that tracks a moving subject and keeps it in focus and High Dynamic Mode that helps to capture a scene with even exposure even if it contains extreme bright and dark areas.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 aka FZ38 Advanced Digital Camera

    September 14th, 2009
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 aka FZ38 Advanced Digital Camera

Cameras.co.uk have posted the camera’s review with samples!

Panasonic introduces the LUMIX DMC-FZ35 (aka DMC-FZ38 in Europe) that spots a powerful 27mm wide-angle 18x optical zoom lens, 12.1 megapixels of resolution and HD movie capabilities. The camera is a successor to the popular FZ28.

The camera features the upgraded POWER Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S.), and ultra high-speed Auto Focus (AF) for capturing action scenes as they happen.

Alongside with full manual controls there’s a Panasonic’s iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode in the camera. It includes Face Detection & Recognition, Optical Image Stabilizer, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Exposure, Intelligent Scene Selector, AF Tracking and Digital Red-Eye Correction.

Among interesting features of the FZ35 we find My Color mode and also High Dynamic Mode that helps to capture a scene with moderate exposure even though the scene may contain both bright and dark areas.

Shooting movies is now a creative process with optical zoom available in the Movie mode. Creative Movie mode allows you to set the shutter speed and aperture manually which is especially suitable for shooting fast-moving subjects. Also, the operational layout of the FZ35 includes a dedicated video record button.

The camera will be available in September 2009 in black for $399.99.

    Camera Reviews:

    Dcresource.com:
Photo quality is very good in most respects with accurate exposures, nice and vivid colors and sharpness at lower ISOs. Purple fringing was well controlled.

    Imaging-resource.com:
Overall, the Panasonic FZ35 performs better than most all-in-ones in terms of startup and AF speed, but slower than average in continuous mode. Image quality, too, is up to snuff.

    Cameras.co.uk:
The camera offers both advanced still photo features and advanced movie mode with stereo sound. The pictures taken with it stand up very well against other super zoom cameras.
