Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5A Review

August 27th, 2008

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5A is one of TZ5 models created specially for active photographers who shoot everywhere and everything.

This model presents innovated advanced modes such as new Intelligent Exposure and Digital Red-eye Correction. These technologies help to make photos quickly, of high quality and automatically, without any inconvenience. It also has a new Venus Engine IV that produces first rate images and spots its predecessors. It is less noisy, more quickly and has a good correlation of saturation, sharpness and color. It incorporates Intelligent LCd, a special technology to control brightness, light and flash levels. Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5A now has resolution of 460,000 dots and so images can be easily seen on the screen due to this feature.

Panasonic digital Red-Eye reduces red-eye cases due to the emission of a small flash that goes off before the main one. This action corrects the red-eye effect. If one always shakes his hands while shooting photos always become fuzzy. With TZ5A new option Mega O.I.S. camera prevents this problem due to its special gyrosensors. A valuable option of Face Detection reads faces on the frame and automatically tunes up the camera to make a good portrait photo.

The main camera advantage makes Intelligent Scene Selector. It detects environment and automatically turns on the necessary mode. It can be Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait, Night Scenery and other modes.

Camera has leica lens that allows making fast good zoom. The main zoom point is that it is noiseless.

Video mode will please an average photographer. It’s nice, high resolution, but its quality is not number one among other cameras.

Camera design is perfect. The body is made of metal. It is sold in silver, black and blue colors. It’s not that compact and isn’t pocketable but it has a good size for a good camera. Just an excellent travel camera. It has a special protuberance to use it with one hand that is very comfortable while shooting. The camera is quite easy in use with logical menu system and understandable manual.

Features:

• 9-megapixel resolution captures enough detail for poster-sized prints

• 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens; Face Detection

• New Panasonic Venus Engine IV improves noise reduction, elevates the detection accuracy and corrective effects

• 3.0-inch LCD; Mega O.I.S. and Intelligent ISO

• Captures images to SD memory cards (not included)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5K Review

August 24th, 2008

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5K is a many-sided camera which does various duties. It is the ideal camera model for active photographers that have itchy feet.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5K one of rare cameras to have a white angle lens that make 28mm. Undoubtedly they are of the first rate. Moreover Panasonic zoom is quick and quite that is very valuable for a camera. It also shoots excellent videos. In addition to the fact that one can use zoom while video making this camera produce high resolution videos. Though many claim that HD videos is not its forte.

As far as photos themselves are concerned let it be said that this camera has the intelligent auto mode. For example if you short a human the camera detects the face and switches over portrait mode automatically. Or if you shoot a ladybird the camera switches on the macro-mode. It also turns on and turns off red-eye, landscape mode and other possible options when it reads the object to shoot. With this wonderful intelligent mode the work with the camera for beginners will become easy and enjoyable. And it will also please those who don’t want to make out camera settings and read its manual.

Image quality is brilliant. Though many consider Canon image quality to be the best one can’t but agree that this camera saturation is better than that of Canon. Camera menu is very easy in use and made so that even a novice can understand it. Menu graphics has been upgraded from previous Panasonic models.

And finally the design. It is perfect. The camera body is metal and has a blue color. The only thing is that it isn’t pocketable. But its size is normal. And the design is so comfortable that one can even use it with one hand. The Camera has a very handsome screen though it’s not anti-reflective.

The main advantage of the camera is that it practically has no fails.

Camera disadvantages make its insignificant options. For example the sockets door opens easily and it can limit the times. The screen needs good eyesight to see all the image resolution. And some people say that the flash needs some more power.

Features:

• 9-megapixel resolution captures enough detail for poster-sized prints

• 10x optical zoom Leica DC lens; Face Detection

• New Panasonic Venus Engine IV improves noise reduction, elevates the detection accuracy and corrective effects

• 3.0-inch LCD; Mega O.I.S. and Intelligent ISO

• Captures images to SD memory cards (not included)

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5K Review

July 2nd, 2008

Lumix DMC-FS5K.jpgPanasonic Lumix DMC-FS5K combines easy operation with a slim and sleek look, enabling both beginner and advanced users to take beautiful digital photos with a camera they can slip in their pocket. Featuring 10-megapixel resolution and a 30mm wide-angle Leica DC lens with 4x optical zoom, the FS5 also has Intelligent Auto Mode, an advanced intuitive system of technologies that help users take better photos more easily.

Additionally, the fourth generation high-performance image-processing Venus Engine IV LSI helps produce higher-quality pictures with an advanced signal processing system. It adds a new high-performance noise reduction system that helps reproduce even the most delicate parts of images naturally and without color bleeding. The Venus Engine IV reduces shutter release time lag while still enabling high-resolution picture taking, making it easier to capture spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities.

Other features of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5K include approximately 50 MB of internal memory and a 2.5-inch LCD — perfect for easy-to-see viewing of images. Furthermore, the FS5 features an Intelligent LCD, which detects the lighting condition and controls the brightness level of the LCD to offer optimal clarity in any situation, whether dark or light; indoors or outdoors.

Intelligent Scene Selector senses the ambient conditions, recognizes the shooting environment and will automatically select the appropriate scene mode from: Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery mode. This intuitive technology, helps the consumer use the most common scene modes that are built into the camera, but often go unused, without making any manual adjustments.

The battery and SD card placement is well designed (meaning, next to each other with one panel opening to deal with). Trigger button is significant and zoom in and out switch is where you’d want it. The screen IS the back of Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5K, which grants a viewing area that’s impressive. It’s solid in feel and again, small enough for the pocket, bag, and hand palm.

Features:

  • 10-megapixel resolution captures enough detail for poster-sized prints
  • 4x wide-angle optical zoom; Mega Optical Image Stabilized
  • 2.5-inch Intelligent LCD screen; Face Detection
  • Intelligent ISO; Intelligent Scene Selector
  • 50 MB built-in memory; captures images to SD memory cards (not included)
