Olympus FE-47 is a newly introduced digital camera from Olympus. It belongs to budget digicams and being packed with technology it remains easy to use. The camera comes with 14-megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom and 2.7-inch LCD screen.
The camera features in point-and-shoot simplicity offering the “intelligent-Auto” mode. It allows the camera to recognize the five most commonly used scenes automatically and enables the capture of perfect photos with correct focus and exposure.
The FE-47 can also keep a moving object in focus to unsure that it will be sharp on a final image. This is called the AF tracking function. At the same time the camera is equipped with Digital Image Stabilization that raises ISO in tough low light conditions and thus allows for faster shutter speeds. This results in sharper photos on the one hand, and in visible noise – on the other.
The Advanced Face Detection Technology used in the camera can search for faces in a composition and recognizes them as the main subject thus creating a sharp and ideally exposed image. Advanced Face Detection Technology is able detect up to 16 faces in a single frame.
The most “beautiful” feature of the FE-47 is its Magic Filters that apply a special artistic effect to your images directly in the camera. They are as follows: Pop Art, Fish-Eye, Sketch, Pin Hole. The later is most interesting, to my mind, as it adds an air of secrecy to your images or portrays the feeling of being lost in another dimension or space
The camera follows an easy-to-use ‘one button, one function’ design principle and will become available in March 2010in a kaleidoscopic range of colors.
