The GEJ1250 is a new digital camera from General imaging that spots an impressive 12.2-megapixel resolution and 5X optical zoom lens along with Image Stabilization.
The camera houses a 2.7-inch LCD with the resolution of 230,400 pixels. It is also equipped with the Auto Adjust Brightness technology that makes it easy to see even in bright conditions.
The J1250 features point-and-shoot operation and offers you its Auto Scene Detection Mode, in which the camera automatically determines the appropriate scene and sets a proper exposure for colorful pictures.
Image Stabilization combats camera shake to help you take sharper pictures, but being a digital it merely raises ISO, which causes noise.
The latest Pan-Capture Panorama feature ensures that wide-view photos can be captured without the need for stitching. Such photos are produced by panning the camera across to create a seamless panoramic picture.
As many present-day digicams, the J1250 has a bunch of functions to make the portraits you shoot look nice. They include Face Detection that optimizes focus and exposure; Blink Detection that alerts you if a subject’s eyes were closed; Smile Detection that automatically triggers the shutter when the smile appears; and In-Camera Red-Eye Removal.

GE E1250TW is General Imaging’s digital camera that features a 12.2 megapixel image sensor, 28mm wide angle 5x optical zoom lens.
There’s no optical viewfinder in the camera, but there’s a 3.0″ touch-screen LCD display that offers an Auto Adjust Brightness function to correct for ambient lighting conditions and make it viewable.
General Imaging E1250 is a point-and-shoot digital camera. It has a full auto mode, twelve scene modes and an Auto Scene Detection mode that selects an appropriate scene automatically.
There’s also face detection capability, as well as Blink Detection function which warn the user when their subject has closed their eyes during, and a Smile Detection function that automatically triggers the shutter while your subject is smiling. Red-Eye Removal function also helps to shoot nice portraits without effort.
Unfortunately, there’s no form of mechanical image stabilization in the GE1250TW, only an “Electronic Image Stabilizer” which raises the ISO sensitivity, which allows for shorter shutter speed to freeze motion. But image noise appears at high ISO levels and detail is lost.
There’s also a Pan-Capture Panorama mode that automatically stitches together a panorama created by simply panning the camera across the scene.
