    Fujifilm Finepix S200EXR UltraZoom

    October 14th, 2009
    Fujifilm Finepix S200EXR UltraZoom

What’s new: Cameras.co.uk have posted the camera’s full review!

Fujifilm Finepix S200EXR is an ultrazoom digital camera announced in late July 2009, as a successor to Fuji’s S100fs. It spots 12 megapixels of resolution, 14.3x optical zoom and full manual controls.

The camera incorporates Fuji’s Super CCD EXR sensor that is also used in Fuji F200EXR and F70EXR digital cameras. It is said to provide for exceptionally balanced pictures as close to that of the human eye as possible. The EXR sensor is can actually change its electronic behavior to suit the subject.

There are the following primary shooting modes in the camera: Auto (fully auto mode, film simulation, high speed shooting), Program auto, EXR Mode, Scene Position with 17 scenes hidden inside it, 2 Custom Modes, Aperture & Shutter priority mode and, at last, Manual Mode.

In the EXR Priority Mode you decide which sensor setting is preferable by choosing High Resolution Priority to maximize resolution, High ISO and Low Noise Priority for high quality low-light work or D-Range Priority for the best detail.

Besides, the camera features a large 2.7 inch LCD with 11 level of brightness adjustment, and the images are stabilized with the help of Dual Image Stabilization (Optical + Digital) to guarantee blur-free images even in low-light conditions.

Its Pro-Focus Mode allows for professional-looking pictures and Super Intelligent Flash works for you images taken with flash look natural.

    Camera Reviews:

    Digitalcamerareview.com:
The camera shows very good image quality and shutter performance alongside with the best in class. As to downsides, its video trails competition and the camera it rather expensive.

    Cameras.co.uk:
Picture quality is top draw and the Fuji Finepix S200EXR handles like a dream too. Shutter lag times (except for start-up time), colors and brightness of photos are great.

    October 13th, 2009
Fujifilm Finepix F72EXR UltraCompact Digital Camera

Jessops, the UK’s leading photographic retailer, launched the new and exclusive Fuji Finepix F72EXR camera. As to its features they appear to be almost the same as those of the recently-announced F70EXR. But the finish is different – now the camera is housed in an attractive metal black body.

The F72EXR spots 10 megapixels of resolution, 10x optical zoom and intelligent EXR technology previously used in the F200EXR digital camera.

The camera combines style and functionality to allow you to take great pictures in the most challenging of conditions. It shows outstanding dynamic range and low-light performance.

Alongside with Auto and EXR shooting Modes the camera offers such unique modes as Multi Frame function, Film Simulation Mode, and Super Intelligent Flash.

The EXR Auto technology automatically recognizes scenes and selects the ideal shooting mode. Moreover, it sets the sensor to optimize shooting. You can choose between High Resolution Priority, High ISO and Low Noise Priority or D-Range Priority in EXR mode.

High Resolution Priority Mode allows you to maximize resolution while Low Noise Priority provides for high quality low-light work. D-Range Priority should be set if the best detail with contrast subjects is preferable.

The F72 EXR features the Advanced Face Detection of up to 10 detected faces. There’s also Pro-Focus mode in the camera to make it possible to create professional looking images with a shallow depth of field.

The camera is priced at £279 and is available now at your local Jessops store or online at jessops.com.
