Samsung PL200 is the company’s new camera featuring 14.2 megapixels of resolution, large 3.0″ LCD monitor, 7x optical zoom and 720p HD video capture are a rate of 30 frames per second. It comes in a compact body with the dimensions of 3.9″ x 2.3″ x 0.83.”

The camera is just another point-and-shoot yet it boasts a slightly wide-angle lens with a 31mm angle of view, which gives you more opportunity in capturing wide scenes than it would be otherwise possible. Moreover, the lens is optically stabilized which helps avoid blur caused by camera shake in low-lit situations. If it is not enough, the camera has Digital Image Stabilization as well - it will raise ISO level in order to deliver sharp images.

The Samsung PL200 is extremely easy to use and would suit those who are new to photography and want to get great images without bothering about camera controls. The camera will do the entire job automatically.

It device employs Scene Recognition technology incorporated in its Smart Auto mode that can be used for both still image and motion picture shooting. The technology analyses your shooting situation and sets this or that scene to match it.

For portrait shooting the PL200 offer the well-known Face Detection feature for bright and focused faces and Blink detection that warns you when you subject has blinked in the photo. There’s also a Beauty Shot function for making faces smoother by removing minor skin imperfections and blemishes.
