The Casio EXILIM Zoom EX-Z90 is a new 12-megapixel digital camera with a 1/2.3″ CCD image sensor featuring 3x optical zoom and a 2.7″ LCD display. It is compact enough to fit in the palm of a hand being just 19 mm thick and comes in fashionable pink and black colors.

This point-and-shoot camera, so even those who are new to photography can operate it with ease. It uses contrast detection autofocusing with multi or spot AF modes, and metering modes include multi, center weighted, or spot.

The Z90 incorporates several features to ensure that your photos of your friends and family look great. These include Face detection to automatically adjust focus and exposure on faces in the frame; and also the camera offers Face tracking capabilities to keep the moving face in focus, even if the face leaves the shot for a couple of seconds.

Face detection is further enhanced by a Makeup mode, in which faces are automatically adjusted to yield smooth skin tones and softened shadows.

In its Landscape Mode the camera offer the possibilities to shoot the Vivid or Mist Removal landscape photos. The latter helps to achieve clear photos even if shooting conditions are not encouraging, for instance, on a misty morning.

There’s also a Dynamic Photo function which can isolate a subject from a single shot against its background, and then be extracted, scaled as desired, and placed into a different image.
