Voigtländer announced two limited edition lenses, the Heliar 3.5 / 50 mm and the Heliar 2.0 / 50 mm. With their introduction the company celebrated the 10th anniversary of Cosina - Voigtländer cooperation.

The two lenses have a focal length of 50mm and differ in maximum aperture value: one of them offer max. aperture of f/2.0 and the other features f/3.5 max. aperture.

As to their optical construction, both of them incorporate 5 elements in 3 groups. They fit an M39 screw mount cameras and an M-bayonet adapter is included.

The peculiarity of the Heliar 3.5 / 50 mm is that it is comes with a tube so that the length of the lens when it is fully retracted is only 23.2 mm.

The number of the lenses is strictly limited to 600 pieces each. They will be available in November for €749 (Heliar 2,0/50 mm) and €699 (3,5/50 mm).
