Sony A550 DSLR Camera
Sony A550 is a 14.2-megapixel digital SLR camera with enhanced Live View, Auto HDR functionality and speedy performance.
At the heart of the camera is a new, unique to Sony, Exmorâ‘© CMOS sensor that ensures crisp low-noise images, packed with fine detail and vibrant colors. And BIONZ image processing engine allows for high-speed shooting at a rate of 7 frames per second in the Continuous mode.
Like all DSLR cameras by Sony, the new model feature SteadyShotâ‘© INSIDE optical image stabilizer that reduces the effects of camera shake by up to 4 EV steps while shooting handheld with any lens.
The A550 features 921k dot 3-inch LCD screen that tilts up or down over a full 180 degree range. LCD brightness is automatically boosted for extra screen clarity when surrounding light levels are high.
Thecamera’s Quick AF Live View features Face Detection, for crisp with natural skin tones. Smile Shutter was also included in Live View mode to automatically trigger the shutter the moment the camera detects smiles. A special new Manual Focus Check Live View mode, in its turn assists with fine-tuning your composition.
Operation is very simple due to a redesigned on-screen interface and a unique Graphic Display.
The camera uses the highest capacity of any Alpha series digital SLR camera battery to date. It delivers up to 950 shots from a single charge.
