Canon announced the PowerShot SX120 IS, a high quality, easy-to-use digital compact camera with 10 megapixels, 10x optical zoom, 3 inch LCD and Smart Auto Mode. The new camera builds on the success of its predecessor, the PowerShot SX110 IS.
The SX120 IS includes Canon’s powerful and intelligent DIGIC 4 processor – ensuring superb response times and natural colour reproduction. DIGIC 4 also takes care of difficult lighting conditions with i-Contrast – a technology which prevents highlight blowout and retains shadow detail.
The camera is simple to use and allows you to concentrate on picture taking, while it automatically takes care of the technical details – in Smart Auto and Easy modes with Scene Detection Technology.
The SX120 IS comes with the latest Face Detection Technology which recognizes up to 35 faces in a frame, and also makes includes Auto Red-Eye Correction, Face Select & Track, and Face Self-Timer.
More experienced users can choose their settings in Aperture and Shutter Priority Modes. A full manual control mode is also provided.
For sharp results, the PowerShot SX120 IS features technologies that reduce camera shake and image blur: Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer (IS), ISO Auto and Motion Detection Technology.
