Panasonic Lumix DMC-FP8 Fast Digital Camera

What’s new: Cameras.co.uk have reviewed the camera!
Panasonic has released the Lumix DMC-FP8 digital compact with folding optics. It features 12.1 megapixels of resolution, 4.6x optical zoom, 2.7 inch LCD and HD video recording - in a card style body.
The camera features a high-quality 28mm wide-angle lens with folding optics to secure the toughness of the lens unit. So the body is flat due to the retracting lens with folding optics without a fixed lens barrel.
A key feature of the new DMC-FP8 is its fast response: high-speed AF, the industry’s fastest in class level combined with a high-speed start-up of only 0.95 seconds. The shutter release time lag is also very short.
The camera is easy to use and can produce good image quality. Panasonic’s Intelligent Auto (iA) mode now includes POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) that helps the camera deliver blur-free photography and improves the quality of shots taken at night or indoors without a flash.
The DMC-FP8 also features the popular Face Recognition mode, a function that “remembers” faces. This mode allows for up to three people to be simultaneously recognized and their names shown on the monitor once registered.
In the iA mode, other powerful shooting-assist functions – AF Tracking, Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Intelligent Exposure and Quick AF- work together, so you can enjoy easy, trouble-free shooting in any situation.
Camera Reviews:
Digitalcamerareview.com:
The camera shows very good AF performance shutter lag as well as largely defect free image quality alongside with below average ISO noise performance at 400 and up.
Cameras.co.uk:
It is a pocket camera that offers a quick response and takes good quality photos in most situations. There’s very little to put one off this camera and plenty of plus points.
