Canon Powershot SD960 Delph / aka IXUS 110 IS

Letsgodigital have published a full review of this camera including tests shots!
The Canon PowerShot SD960 IS (aka IXUS 110 IS in Europe) is your typical point-and-shoot, featuring the easy-to-use controls, sleek design, portability, and basic operations most cameras today have.
The camera was announced PMA 2009 together with other three Digital ELPHs. It features 12 megapixels of resolution, wide angle 4x optical zoom lens (not much), a 2.8 inch PureColor LCD II, HD movie shooting at a 1280×720; and a Smart Auto Mode that automatically selects from up to 18 different shooting presets to get the best picture.
Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor dramatically increases the performance of the newest Canon digicams, improves their speed, low-light sensitivity, and overall operation. Also it provides better focusing, scene recognition, especially with face detection, exposure, and also helps to filter out noise at higher ISOs.
Among the SD960’s interesting features we find Face Detection Self-Timer that will not take a picture until the camera detects an extra face in the frame; i-Contrast - Intelligent Contrast Correction - that helps correct both low-light and backlit shots by brightening up dark areas; My Colors system that provides 11 different color/processing presets for images, and more.
Camera Reviews:
Photographyblog.com:
The Canon IXUS 110 IS would be, to be fair, one to mark down as ‘just another’ point and shoot digital compact if it weren’t for some features like its active rear display plus HDMI out port and 1280×720 widescreen movies.
Digitalcamerareview.com:
The camera performs good, but not great. It produces overly saturated default picture settings and unfortunately its HD video quality isn’t great. But still the camera in fast in terms of autofocus and pictures are nice at low ISO levels.
Cameras.co.uk:
The Canon IXUS 110 IS is a very good pocket camera. Looking at the price tag it is expensive when compared to other models, but it certainly delivers in terms of picture quality, turn in times and style.
Letsgodigital.org:
The image quality of the Canon IXUS 110 IS is convincing. However, noise is visible all too soon, ans the lens chows chromatic aberration and purple fringes around the subject in difficult contrast-rich situations.
