The Panasonic Lumix DMC FS7 is a typical small & lightweight, 10 megapixel digital camera with 2.7 inch LCD screen. The camera places the emphasis on ease of use and comes in three colours: black, silver and pink. In terms of price the DMC FS7 is one of the cheaper Panasonic pocket cameras.

The camera’s 4x optical zoom can be increased up to 7.1x when shooting at low resolutions. 4x digital zoom is available too. The focal length of the lens is equivalent to 33 - 132mm in 35mm format. Among its features you will also find image stabilization, a good range of scene modes and automatic red eye correction.

Overall picture quality is impressive for a camera with this price tag. The camera produces vivid colors but they stay within the boundaries and do not become overpowering. Like many Panasonic cameras the FS7 copes well with close up shots being able to focus from 5cm and bring out a high level of detail. But it may seem slow to impatient users. Nevertheless, it could be said that the cameras offers excellent value for money.

What does it compare to: the Olympus FE-5000; many similar cameras are in the Panasonic range.
