Canon has unveiled four Digital ELPH cameras - the PowerShot SD970 IS, SD960 IS, SD780 IS and SD1200 IS. These colorful cameras “are the perfect complement to any situation and offer both the fashion-forward and feature-hungry photographer an all-in-one must-have camera” as it is stated in Canon USA Press Release.

Three of the new cameras feature 12.1-megapixel resolution, and the the SD1200 IS features 10 megapixels. They are capable of HD movie capturing (1280 x 720, 30fps), again except for the SD1200 IS.

The cameras share such advanced features as:
* DIGIC 4 processor for ultra-fast responsiveness and superb image quality
* I-Contrast for brightening dark areas without blowing out correctly-exposed areas
* Combat blur with IS (Image Stabilization) and Motion Detection Technology
* Make people shots easy with Face Detection Technology, Blink Detection plus Face Self-Timer and Auto Red-Eye Correction
