Canon PIXMA iP4600 Inkjet Printer Review

Canon PIXMA iP4600 is a color ink-jet printer. It stays outside from the all-in-one trend and emphasizes on one thing; as you might have guessed, it is printing. So don’t search for scanning, fax, or copying functions on the iP4600. But it’s great for general consumers being a budget-friendly home (or office) solution with the price tag of ~100$.
Wrapped in glossy black plastic with faux brushed metal accents the Canon Pixma iP4600 bears a strong resemblance to the rest of Canon’s current Pixma line.
As the iP4600 represents the budget single-function home/office inkjet printer there are no card readers, LCDs, in-printer image editing, or networking capabilities here though Canon does provide options for creating black-and-white images, instant illustration simulations, upping image vibrancy, and reducing noise and grain right from the print control panel. You can also specify paper size/type, print quality, and which tray the media will feed from.
So, as you see, the persuasive feature hare is certainly the price. Amateur photographers and those who need to print document occasionally will like this iP, even appealing to cash-strapped college students. And don’t forget that regret may be caused by the fact that from time to time inks need replacement:-).
Strong points:
* Handsome, reasonably compact exterior
* Great photo printer handles lots of paper types
* Setup couldn’t be much easier
* Fantastic price
Weak points:
* Slower than most competitors, especially on startup
* Flimsy build quality
* No built-in networking option
