Panasonic Lumix DMC FX37
The Panasoinic DMC FX37 is a 10 megapixel digital camera with a 2.5 inch LCD monitor and 5x optical zoom lens. At a lower resolution extra zoom becomes available. The camera has a 25mm wide angle lens and fits into a pocket.
The wide angle lens makes the DMC FX37 a good choice if you take photographs where you look to squeeze a great deal of width into the scene. This could be landscapes, interiors or groups of people.
Positive things about this camera are:
*The colours – vivid and true to life.
*The screen is easy to see in sunlight
*8.9x zoom at 3 megapixels
*Ease of use.
*HD quality movies.
*Macro Mode - bright and clear photos with a good level of detail.
What’s wrong with it:
* Noise levels are visible at ISO 400, especially in darker areas of the photo.
* What could be really improved is picture quality. Are the 10 million pixels are too small to produce high quality photos? May be Panasonic has tried to squeeze too many megapixels on to the sensor and picture quality has suffered.
Shutter Lag and Recycling Times are okay, but a bit slow when compared to similar cameras.

The DMC FX37 behaves like a typical point and shoot digital camera. There are plenty of pocket cameras around, but not too many with a 5x wide angle lens. Another camera worth taking a look at is the Fuji Finepix F100 FD
