Canon Powershot E1

Like other representatives of “E” series the lightweight and compact 10-megapixel Canon PowerShot E1is targeted towards teens and pre-teens with stylish colors and customizable options. Its features include a versatile 4x (35mm-140mm equivalent) zoom lens and 2.5-inch LCD screen.
The E1 camera also features Canon’s advanced Optical Image Stabilization (IS),which significantly reduces the effects of camera shake and the blurry pictures, e.g. in low-light conditions.
Canon Genuine Face Detection Technology automatically detects, tracks, focuses and optimizes the exposure on up to nine forward looking human faces in the frame or can lock onto a specific face in the crowd, moreover it improves white balance, providing more consistent color accuracy than earlier models.
There are 17 shooting modes available on the PowerShot E1, none of which allows the user to set the aperture or shutter speed manually, though in a “P” mode a user is given a possibility to choose from a range of shutter speeds between 1 and 15 seconds. In some modes there is an access to white balance settings, a custom WB option, sensitivity settings, centre-weighted and spot metering, AE Lock, Flash Exposure, My Colours (Vivid, Neutral, Sepia and B/W), the adjustment of contrast, sharpness and saturation.
The exclusive DIGIC III imaging processor is responsible for the cameras’ faster start up, faster autofocus and quicker shutter response times, both the image quality and the cameras’ power consumption, extending the battery life.
