Without being truly ultra compact the Olympus FE-370 is a small, easy-to-use camera that will squeeze into a large pocket. It features 8 megapixels, a 5x optical zoom lens and also a good sized, 2.7 inch LCD screen. Another feature that you do not always find in this range is image stabilisation.
A big advancement for the FE-370 is the inclusion of a mode called Intelligent Auto. This mode is able to recognize five of the most common picture taking scenes (Portrait, Landscape, Night + Portrait, Macro, Sports) and then to select the most appropriate settings to create the best possible photo.
Among other improvements you can find a Smile Shot technology that allows the camera to triggers the shutter automatically only when a subject smiles; and a Perfect Shot Preview to see various shot options before the shutter is pressed.
