Photokina 2008 introduced compact digital camera Sigma DP2 which Sigma Corporation positions as direct successor of highly rated Sigma DP1.

DP2 has image processor True II, which is supposed to increase the speed of image processing and total efficiency and quality of shots.

113,3x 59,5×54,6-mm camera has 20,7×13,8-mm matrix FOVEON X3 installed, that is used in DSLR-camera Sigma SD14, with 14 megapixels resolution (2652х1768).

• manual focusing
• integrated manual flash with “anti red-eye” function and automatic exposure correction (step 1/3)
• optional flashes and compatible viewfinders
• lens hood HA-21(46-mm lenses and filters adaptor)
• Sigma Photo Pro firmware
• RAW-format, JPEG.
•  2,5” LCD display

Price and release date of Sigma DP2 haven’t been announced yet.
