    Sony Alpha A200W Review

    August 31st, 2008

Sony Alpha A200W camera is the next level camera that broadens one’s mind and expands professional and creative horizons.

First of all let’s stop on its image quality. It has 10.2 megapixel Super quality that allows it make bright first-rate photos. Moreover the camera is provided with a large APS-size CCD image that makes shooting noiseless and images detailed. The pictures have beautiful color tints even in low light due to its expanded ISO sensitivity.

The camera has many useful and new options. Just take the Dynamic range Optimizer that recover subjects hidden in shadows, damaged by flash, improves color gamma, making it natural. Anti-Dust technology keeps the camera clean from dust due to its static free anti-dust coating on the CCD filter and anti-dust vibration that takes off dust automatically each time the camera is switched off.
The camera lenses are soft, they are very similar to kit lenses from a supermarket. Battery is rather durable. It allows taking 750 photos and it has special power indicators so you’ll be always in course how much power is left.

Many complain that the camera doesn’t have the LCD protector. They say that the screen is becomes dirty at once. But in fact it has a low price and doesn’t make any problem. The manual is easy to make out and the most necessary are available so the beginner can even manage without instructions.

The camera isn’t big and isn’t small, but certainly it isn’t pocketable. It is plastic but doesn’t seem cheap. It’s stylish, sporty and seems to be professional. It has a special protuberance for hands so one can keep it with one hand.

    Features:

    • 10-megapixel CCD captures enough detail for photo-quality 18 x 24-inch prints

    • Kit includes 18-70mm and 75-300mm lenses

    • Super Steadyshot image stabilization; Bionz image processor

    • 2.7-inch ClearPhoto LCD; Eye-Start autofocus system

    • Powered by lithium-ion battery (supplied); stores images on CF I/II and Memory Stick Pro Duo cards

    Kodak EasyShare Z712 IS Review

    August 30th, 2008

Kodak EasyShare Z712IS camera is an advanced camera that will please an average person who likes photography and satisfy a professional.

It has loads of features from simple for people who want just shoot to advanced ones requiring reading the manual carefully. The owner just scrolls the wheel of the camera and chooses the necessary feature. The camera has its own Kodak battery but it’s possible to use a standard one.

So, Kodak EasyShare Z712IS has special lens with 12 times zoom that substantially improves conditions of shooting. The camera has normal size but can’t be considered as pocketable.

Image quality is great. The camera makes vivid colorful photos with good saturation, sharpness and color regulation. As far as video is concerned Kodak has neither failed their customers. It is excellent, though the main disadvantage is that one can’t zoom while video taking. It’s a real Company’s fault as they’ve created so powerful zoom. Camera has many functions for video editing. One can even cut images from video he’s shot.

The camera screen is large and readable. It is seen well outdoors even in the bright sun. BUT! Many advice to save the LCD protector as the screen becomes dirty at once.

Camera has loads of modes to make photos. Curiously enough the most valuable is auto mode that shoots cool photos in low light.

Kodak EasyShare Z712IS has standard SD memory card. Problems can appear while downloading photos to PC. The manual isn’t understandable and not knowing chalk from cheese one can have some difficulties with download.

One of the few camera cons is its focus that sometimes needs a little time to capture the subject to shoot. When shooting any action it becomes some inconveniences.
