How To Take Automobile Photos
Have you ever attended a car racing or an old cars exhibition, or other similar event? A great variety of colors, breathtaking forms and fascinate sounds! Is a never-to-be-forgotten show! If you cannot possess this beauty, you can make a collection of beautiful photos.
1. A beautiful subject does not make a good photo. You can shoot all pretty and unusual cars you see, but a beautiful car is a beautiful car, while a good photograph is not about a bright object only. It is about the ability to shoot as well. It doesn’t matter how beautifully and skillfully tuned the car, it is not a guarantee for a good image.

The photo above is a self-portrait, which is our reflection in a splash boards taken accidentally. Besides, we paid attention at this photo only during the post-processing. It helps up understand that details of the car often are much more interesting and impressive than a full view of the most unusual cars.
2. Show your own perception of the car in your photos. It may sound strange, but a car photo can be a portrait, landscape, still life and a nude photo. Imagination and creativity help the author to feel the car and render your perception.

3. Take use of a polarizing filter. If you look at car photos in magazines, you will notice that the car surface is even and has no highlights and reflections on it. It is the result of precise metering of studio light and the usage of special mat cover. The equipment is very expensive and it is used in professional photography only.
In amateur photography, it will be very difficult to get rid of highlights and reflections, that is why we’d better take advantage of this drawback. And a polarizing filter is absolutely a must in these conditions.

4. Use histograms or point exposure metering. Remember that highlights and reflections will make an auto mode useless. But in case of digital photography, histograms and exposure correction will help you lot. Do experiment and you will get what you need.
