Leica digital cameras: Leica C-LUX 1
Hello, guys! Today’s news comes from Leica, which has unveiled its C-LUX 1. This 6 megapixel digital camera has become the first model in C-LUX series which stands for high-end compact products.
The new Leica C-LUX 1 combines a small elegant design and cutting-edge technology. It features a high-resolution 2.5 in LCD, fully retractable optics, 28mm wide angle zoom lens, precise autofocus measurement, a wide range of Scene Modes and built-in optical image stabiliser.
Leica C-LUX 1 is a good choice for those who are looking for a compact, but high-resolution digital camera. The large 2.5 in LCD with 207,000 pixels resolution is perfect for composing shorts. It provides a clear view from any angle and at any light conditions. Besides, if you go short of energy, you can save some switching the display to a low-energy mode (it won’t influence the quality of the images). But it’s unlikely, as the battery is fairly durable, it provides power for up to 320 photos.
The C-LUX 1 also features the LEICA DC VARIO-ELMARIT 1:2.8-5.6/4.6-16.8 ASPH. triple zoom lens, that offers wonderful possibilities of image composition.
With this new model you’ll get extremely sharp and detailed shots with natural colors. The camera sports very precise autofocus measurement (5 fields for full image area and 3 fields - across the center) and extremely short shutter delay. You can also rely on this product when taking spur-of-the-moment snapshots.
The in-camera Optical Image Stabilizer (O.I.S) will help you to better your images and to avoid blurred photos. It guarantees sharp shots even in candlelight or of moving objects. Besides, the camera incorporates the high-sensitivity setting of up to ISO 1600, which makes the images even more detailed and shake-free.
Scene modes include portrait, soft skin, landscape, sport, night portrait, night landscape, self-portrait, food, party, candlelight, fireworks, starry sky, snow, baby1, baby2, high sensitivity.
In addition to multiple useful features, the C-LUX 1 has a robust body and a stylish design typical of Leica. It measures only 2 x 4 x 1 in (5 x 10 x 2.4 cm) and weighs 5.6 oz (160g). The camera is very comfortable to handle and easy to use with clearly-organized control and simple operation concept.
The Leica C-LUX 1 will be delivered with a 64 MB SD memory card, a battery charger, a powerful battery, an AV, USB and AC cable and an extensive software package (Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Quicktime Movie Player).
