Phil Borges is popularly accepted as a vivid photographer who not only takes pictures of surrounding reality, but tries to change the world for the better.
Phil Borges started his photographic career in 1987. His first serious photo session that year was dedicated to Seattle teens, in Washington. After that debut Phil made his first masterpiece - «Tibetan Portrait: The Power of Compassion». He presented it in the form of exhibition and exhibition in Rizzoli, 1996. This project brought him world-wide recognition.
In 2001 Phil continued his genius mission. And the internet program «Bridges to Understanding» came to the world! That project was intended to research and save cultural diversity.
Phil’s last big project is «Women Empowered», which tells about common women that work with extraordinary things in daily life. Borges’s project is focused on women from developing countries. There they have to break social barriers and misunderstanding to better their life and prove that they are not worse than men.
Phil Borges is exhibited in many museums and art galleries, his works are kept in 80 museums, art galleries and private collections. Besides, the photographer is eager to teach other willing amateurs and gives lectures in many countries.
