Customers Reviews 2010-02-22 OlympusFE-46 12MPCamera
I really enjoy using my new little camera. It's easy to use and small enough to take along any where. It takes pretty good pictures for a point and shoot. I would buy it again if I didn't already own it! | 2010-02-18 Camera is OK.. The camera is ok. The actual pictures don't turn out to good for it being a 11 megapixel. I bought it for the crayola feature but wish i wouldve gotten a kodak camera instead. Good for teens and young adults. Not good for adults wanting to caputure good pictures of kids and sports!! | 2010-02-17 Great except for the slow shutter! Overall I like the camera and the quality of the photos. The camera is easy to operate. The buttons are clear and simple. The only problem I have is when trying to take pictures of something that moves. The slow response time from the time you press the button until the shutter closes is so slow that I cannot take pictures of the baby, for example. Children move so quickly that I can never capture the shot I want: the baby has already moved, or his eyes are closed, or the smile is gone - it just loses the spontaneity. | 2010-02-15 Great Bundle! This digital camera is a great gift for someone who doesn't have a camera or for someone who may not use a camera often. Too bad it didn't already come with the memory card, but I guess most don't. | 2010-02-09 Great Value. Just purchased this camera at the local Toys R Us. I did have the FE-3010 model, but wanted the additional zoom this model offers. I'm not sure how great battery life is, but I will be sure to invest in rechargables! I am very pleased with the ease of use and navigating the different photo modes. This camera is perfect for throwing in your purse to take along wherever.
**I would like to clear up something I saw in other reviews. With any camera, when you push the zoom past the Optical zoom (using the Digital Zoom), the pictures will appear "grainy" (pixely) no matter what the megapixels of the camera are. So for taking pictures with just the Optical zoom, this camera produces clear images.
***And for those who've complained about the xd card, this camera includes an xd adapter that will fit a micro-SD card. Most micro-SD cards include an SD adapter when you purchase them. Yes, this leads to having to juggle to different adapters, but for the quality of the Olympus brand and the ease of photo-printing and card-reading, its a great compromise. | |

Through its history Olympus Company has manufactured various types of cameras: medium-format cameras, fully automatic zoom cameras, 35mm cameras, EE-equipped cameras, autofocus cameras - in different series.
The history of Olympus cameras began in 1936, when they introduced their first camera, the Semi-Olympus I. It was very expensive camera for that time.
In 1959 the first truly innovative camera series was launched - compact and portable (for their time) PEN models. They were half-frame format, allowing 72 pictures of 18 × 24 mm format on a stand... More About Olympus Cameras |
