Customers Reviews 2010-02-03 Mr. Don So Far so good , for the price. It does what it is suppose to do | 2010-01-31 Bigger Than Expected, Works as Advertised This works perfectly as advertised. It was a little larger than expected though but still fits (snugly) in my camera case pocket. I wish accessories such as this, camera cases, etc. would have a size reference in the picture. | 2009-12-06 Plug 'n play! This was a cinch to set up and use. The trigger has been flawless. I've not tested it at the max spec range but it's worked 100% on all shots in doors and for all outdoors shots within 20 m.
The only gripe is the weakness of the translation of the instruction sheet. There is a mode they call 'C' that is actually just a continuous contact after holding the Tx button for more than 3 secs. If your camera is then in bulb mode, you get an open shutter until you press the Tx again. If your camera is in continuous shooting mode then you'll get rapid shooting until you press Tx again to stop it. Pretty cool actually.
I recommend this remote for doing portraiture, landscape, architecture, or other tripod-related work. Great for sports & POV stuff too.

Dan. | 2009-09-12 Opteka Remote I'm very happy with this product (actually I love it). It arrived quickly and on time. I purchased several items at the same time and this was the first to come.
I have gotten some great shots. For the first time I have gotten great shots of the full moon. I didnt have to worry about moving the camera when I pressed the shutter button. My favorites are of my family that run from the camera everytime I get it out. I just left it sitting on the coffee table or on the tripod ready and waiting. I could be at the other end of the house, hit the button and I have my picture. Once I was even outside while my camera was inside. I would purchase from this seller again. | 2009-05-29 A must have... A remote is a must have for many areas in photography. Using this product has enhanced my photography exponentially. Even with image stabilization, many times you cannot get the crisp shot you are yearning for. I use this for many of my long lens work photo's. I am able to set my camera up and focus to the area I am wanting to shoot and then can step back and fire away. I love using this product for many of my wildlife shoots as I can focus the area of interest..ie...birds nest, field area...etc...then step far enough back that my presence is not a factor. Because of its range, I have captured some shots I probably would never have gotten with out this. | |

Olympus Cameras HistoryOlympus Corporation (early known as Takachiho Seisakusho) was founded by Takeshi Yamashitaon on October 12, 1919, and initially specialized in microscope and thermometer businesses. The company is named after Mount Olympus, the home of the gods in Greek mythology.
Olympus continued the tradition of manufacturing high-quality optics through the development of camera lenses, starting in 1934. Two years later the Zuiko lens was born.
Through its history Olympus Company has manufactured various types of cameras: medium-format cameras, fully automatic zoom cameras, 35mm cameras, EE-equipped cameras, autofocus cameras - in different series.
The history of Olympus cameras began in 1936, when they introduced their first camera, the Semi-Olympus I. It was very expensive camera for that time.
In 1959 the first truly innovative camera series was launched - compact and portable (for their time) PEN models. They were half-frame format, allowing 72 pictures of 18 × 24 mm format on a stand... More About Olympus Cameras |
