Kodak Cameras: Easyshare P712 Kodak has announced the Easyshare P712 digital camera, a worthy successor of the P850. It has a high resolution of 7.1 megapixels, a 12x (36 – 432 mm equiv.) stabilized optical lens and a 2.5-inch screen with high-end electronic viewfinder.
The camera offers more capacity than common point-and-shoot cameras, but it still is easy-to-use. The Easyshare P712 incorporates a 'best-in-class' shutter lag, a new high speed focus system for action shots and a precious KODAK Color Science image processing for accurate color. The camera offers 17 Scene Modes, White balance, a TV-quality VGA video with sound (MPEG4) and an on-camera video editing that includes a number of useful functions. The camera will be available worldwide beginning in July 2006, with a suggested retail price of US$499.
