Works as advertised - poorly constructed
This charger works as advertised but is very poorly constructed. After my first time using the charger, I attempted to remove the unit from the wall. As I pulled on the silver painted outer half of the device it came free from the back half. I am now going to try soldering the thing back together.....I guess you get what you pay for.

Exactly as advertised
The camera I use this charger with is my Olympus Stylus Tough 8000, which has an internal charger. I bought this external charger to charge the supplemental batteries I bought for longer excursions.

The charger works with both name brand and generic batteries and gives any type a full charge in a reasonable time frame. All of the adapters worked great, though I admit I have not used the two prong converter yet. The sleek design with fold-in prongs makes it easy to travel with and hassle free.

Great Solution for Road Trips
I bought this charger to replace my OEM Olympus charger because this Olympus is a outlet plug-in type only. This charger works great and has a folding standard US-style plug, a European adapter, and a cigarette lighter adapter. It charges my battery in just a few hours.

Now the down side (and it's only a little one): This charger is designed to charge several different styles of battery, so it's about 50% larger than the Olympus charger. That's great if you have more than one of those battery styles and can eliminate multiple chargers. But if space is at a premium, like on backpacking or motorcycle trips, be aware that you won't be saving any space with this charger. I find the sacrifice of a little space is worth it since I can charge my battery on my motorcycle, and do it in about 1/2 the time of the Olympus.

Chamera bettery charger.
Works just as advertised. It's inconviniant that you have to take out the battery to charge it, but on the other hand you can have to batteries this way. Using one, while charging the other.

Olympus Cameras History

In 1959 the first truly innovative camera series was launched - compact and portable (for their time) PEN models. They were half-frame format, allowing 72 pictures of 18 × 24 mm format on a stand...   More About Olympus Cameras
