Installation problem under Windows 7
The printer is great. It does what it's supposed to do at an affordable price. However, the supplied support CD would not install under Windows 7. The solution was simply to ignore the CD, connect the printer, and allow the Windows plug-and-play facility to install an appropriate driver. That may be a blessing in disguise as it obviates installing any extraneous software. I believe there is a Windows 7 compatible support package on the HP web site.

terrible printer for regular word work
I've had several HP printers in the past that have been real work horses but this one is a DOG. It's totally incompatible with Word 2007 when trying to do anything like print envelopes, custom sized papers, etc. It's also very noisey, eats ink and keeps sending me HP advertising messages. I absolutely do not recommend this printer unless all you want to do is print photos and then be ready to spend a bundle on ink.

Big Disappointment
I bought this printer to replace 2 (I bought the same one twice) HP Photosmart 8250s because after a couple of years of use they started telling me that the paper tray was empty, when it most assuredly was not. I tried all sorts of fixes, like adding more paper, deleting the job in Print Manager, tweaking Device Manager, to no avail. Other than that fatal flaw, that printer was extremely easy to use.
NOT so with this one. Out of the box, the install program failed and required me to find the most recent HP Photo Gallery software and install it. Then I could reinstall the printer. The print setup is way more complicated that I am used to and must be done every time I print something. The initial print quality was awful - too yellow and too dark. I have already wasted a lot of photo paper and ink trying for something acceptable. It has required modifications to the printer controls (which took hours of experimentation) to make the changes permanent, but I am not satisfied yet.
I'll probably be looking for something else, as I can't see how this one is ever going to be a winner.

I am very happy with the HP Photosmart 7560! Great print quality! I purchased mainly to print directly on to CD/DVDs. I am very pleased.

Nice printer
Nice printer with a nice price.I did some research and I think it paid off.I am very pleased with this printer.I have a dell computer,but I like Hp printers better.I also have an old HP Deskjet 5740 printer too.Ink dries fast to HP photo paper,which is good.HP photosmart D7560 is very noisy,but it does the job.I have it for a month now.I love it.Amazon is fast on shipping it to you too.Thanks Amazon.
