Customers Reviews 2009-01-07 Christmas Gift, PowerShot SD1100IS This is my sixth Canon PowerShot, although they have a few downfalls they are the perfect camera for my/our life style. The PowerShot line of cameras fit in a pocket allowing them to be easily carried while riding motorcycles and ATVs (try doing that with some of the other point and shoot cameras or with an SLR camera).
Now as for the camera itself:
Battery life is excellent.
LCD screen good size.
View finder--other camera manufactures should consider using one.
Memory cards: the SD cards are a dime a dozen, the problem is finding the high volume MMC cards which are better and faster.
Shutter lag, what can I say almost all point and shoot cameras have this problem with the exception of the Powershoot 600.
The IS is great.
Zoom, although the digital zoom has increased in quality over the past few years, Canon may want to consider increasing the optical zoom a little bit more.
Would I buy another PowerShot? You bet I will.
| 2009-01-07 Good Compact Digital Camera It is worth the money. It's affordable. It's stylish, compact, thin, lightweight and a good point and shoot digital camera. It may not be the best digital camera for a professional or an advance user, but it's a good digital camera for regular people who don't know much about photography. Because of its size, you can bring it anywhere and put in your pocket. It's convenient. It also comes with video recorder with sound. The features are easy to understand and use. It comes with digital image stabilizer. This camera is good to be used in dark places, because the picture will look brighter. The only cons is if the pictures were taken in bright area, the pictures look a little bit dark. Everything else is good and worth the money. | 2009-01-06 Nice camera This camera takes nice picture but self timer setting is a bit confusing.
Shooting scense is hard to follow. | 2009-01-06 Cannon Powershot camera We loved this product, we loved the price, and it has all the features we need and takes great pictures for amatures who want great pics! | 2009-01-06 Canon SD100IS Excellent little camera. Takes good pictures, is small and handy. I'm very pleased. | |

Digital Camera Reviews: Canon PowerShots SD600, SD630, SD700 ISHello! Today we continue with our Canon digital cameras reviews. But in this post we will dwell on another series: Canon PowerShot SD. If you are not against, we will act on our old worked-out scheme, i.e. compare several cameras of the same series but of different level of production, I mean features and capabilities. We will distinguish between their similarities and differences and note this down in 2 tables.
(But if you have any objections, advice or wishes, you are welcome with them any time! I’ll be extremely happy to read and to take them in consideration, as well as try to fulfill.)
And today we are going to have a look at Canon PowerShot SD 600, SD630 and SD700 IS that will be available in April 2006. To be more exact, now we’ll delimit their properties and next time we’ll discuss their features, all the pros and cons in a more detailed way.
