Customers Reviews 2009-10-21 Good for money It's not the simplest camera to use, and the picture quality isn't the greatest. But it packs more features and value for the money than anything else I could find. I was buying it for my 12 year old, so looking for something not expensive, but not a toy. This is it. | 2009-10-10 You get what you pay for I purchased this camera for my daughter's 7th birthday, with the attitude that all the children's digital cameras for which I had read reviews were about the same price as this camera, and were pretty much across the board terrible. I hoped this camera would take a bit better photos than a kid's camera, but not necessarily masterpieces. This camera takes horrible photos. When my daughter takes photos in the "auto" mode, they are almost always blurry and distorted. I tried my hand at using the camera, and found that it was hit and miss whether I could get a good photo out of the camera. For a 7 MP camera, the resolution of even the "good" photos is terrible. All the photos were grainy. Further, I have to change the batteries daily, and my daughter isn't taking a huge number of photos. Yes, this is an inexpensive camera, but really it's just a cheap camera. Save up your money for something that actually takes good quality photos and at least has a rechargeable battery. | 2009-09-19 OK for a basic camera, but battery life is deplorable. I wanted to get a decent "beginner" digital camera for my 8-year-old daughter so was really attracted to this 7MP camera and she loved the color. The price was what sold it though. At $50, I wouldn't be as worried about how it was treated or if it got lost.
My daugther really likes it and the pictures are decent, but the battery life is ridiculously short. It takes 2 AA batteries and will generally die after a hour or so of collective use.
The camera is OK, but if I had to do it over again, would have purchased a different camera. | 2009-09-18 good camera for a girl My 9 yr old daughter loves the camera. It takes good pictures. Not as user friendly as would of liked. And the batteries go fast so I am buying her re-chargeable batteries. Good for the price. | 2009-09-16 Great lil Cam I love my little camera. It is really easy to use. Definately worth the $50! With purchasing this nifty lil device I was also able to contribute a donation to Breast Cancer, as well! I would DEFINATELY reccomend this to anyone who wants a good digital camera that won't break the bank! | |

Polaroid Cameras HistoryPolaroid Corporation is most famous for its instant film cameras. It was founded in 1937 by Edwin H. Land.

The company's original dominant market was in polarized sunglasses.
Instant photography was introduced with the Polaroid Model 95 camera and Type 40 film at the presentation to The Optical Society in New York City on February 21st, 1947. Polaroid Instant Cameras reached the retail stores in 1948. They were a success as well as later models; and by the early 60th Polaroid expanded to Canada and Europe offering to public not only cameras, but film rolls (both black & white and color (since 1963)).
In 1972 Polaroid made a revolution in photography launching a “magic camera.” The SX-70 appeared to be a true SLR that folds flat and produces photographs instantly. Autofocus technology comes a little bit later with the SX-70 Sonar OneStep and the Pronto! Sonar OneStep cameras.
In 1986 Polaroid defeated Kodak in a patent battle and forced Kodak to leav... More About Polaroid Cameras |
