| 2009-11-18 Purchase of Lowepro Camera pack I am extremely please with this product. The product was exactly what I wanted and needed. I certainly will use Amazon again. The products on Amazon.com are less expensive, the same as in the stores, and they are delivered quickly and in good condition. | 2009-11-06 Good bag for 70-200 lens Pros:
Takes a Nikond300 with 70-200 lens comfortably. I can fit in a 1.7xTC and it can still squeeze in. Space for extra lenses. Just about right size for hiking. More comfortable than a sling bag.
Easy to change lens in the field.
Secure design with zips safely against the back when in use.
Cons:
No rain cover.
Useful addition for the next edition:
Pouch for a netbook. | 2009-10-21 Camera bag This product is everything I had hoped it would be. I had seen a bag like it in a store but this particular bag is even better. It has room for not only the camera but all kinds of accessories. I have three lenses, the largest being the 70 ~ 300 mm, and have no problem storing all of them with room left over for other camera-related pieces. | 2009-10-12 Good bag Just bought a new camera (Canon 50D) and 2 new lenses ( Canon 28-135mm IS and Sigma 17-35mm) plus a 430EX II Speedlite and needed a bag to hold it all. Looked at a lot of bags at Best Buy and local camera stores. The 300 was, by far, the largest and best made bag for the money and large enough to hold all of my equipment, including 2 additional lenses (Sigma 28-70mm and 70-300 mm) in addition to 4 camera batteries, 10 CF cards, a battery charger, spare batteries for the Speedlite, a bag of filters, plus my camera and lens reference books. It'a load to carry around, but the straps are comfortable and and the padding is substantial enough that I 'm not afraid of having my equipment damaged when I take it off and lay it down.
The bag opens from the back( the side that is against your back when wearing the bag as a pack). It is fairly convenient to get stuff in and out of if you put it down first, although it is somewhat awkward to use when slipping out of one of the straps, swinging the bag forward and trying to access the contents, as advertised. It can be done but isn't easy. I guess the best aspect of this design is the security - no one can get to the contents while you are wearing it.
It does have a convenient handle for carrying and hoisting it into a luggage comparment. I'm very happy with it so far, (2 months). | |
