Customers Reviews 2008-12-16 The best bluetooth I ever used This is the 2nd WEP410 I purchased, the 4th WEP from Samsung I bought. This one is much better than the WEP 500, which is no good due to the confussing controlling button & easily got disconnected especially connected to the Blackberry. The WEP 410 has excellent voice quality, very easy to connect, long enough stand-by time. The only thing I want Samsung to add on is a place I can hang the bluetooth with something. So that I would not lost it the 2nd time. | 2008-12-09 Got this for my wife ... She really likes it ... and has been using it everyday ... good battery life | 2008-12-01 I bought it again.. enough said. I took a gamble and bought this one a while back, for my 4hr+ commute. Lost it last week (I think I dropped it at a gas station) and immediately ordered a replacement. It does everything I need it to do: works in my car, stays in my ear, has good volume. Most importantly, it works fine with my iPhone. Once it's paired, it will auto dial the last person you called, auto pick up and auto hang up by clicking the button - no need to do all that tedious & unsafe "slide to unlock" rigmarole while driving. It has the usual Bluetooth problems (call quality at the other end is not spectacular, but no worse than any other) but overall, I liked it enough to replace it with the same model. The only real problem is that it's so tiny it's easy to lose..! | 2008-11-26 Great convenience, mediocre performance I love the convenience of the simple, in-ear design. Never falls out. But the sound quality is fuzzy on my end and very noisy on the other end when driving. Honestly, this headset is no worse than dozens of others that are less convenient and more expensive. But no bluetooth headset without a decent, noise-cancelling microphone deserves more than 3 stars, imho. I'm shocked at the generally poor audio quality of virtually all products in this category. | 2008-11-25 Works Well - good value Overall, very happy with this purchase. The downside is that you need to be somewhat close to your phone, within 5 feet or so to get the best sound, otherwise it gets a little scratchy. I also get the "talking in a tunnel" comment especially while driving in the car. Other than that, it is as clear as the cellphone. I like the lack of a wrap around and the adjustable sizers so that the headset does not fall our of your ear. Awesome, small design too. No contraption hanging off your ear! | |

Samsung SCH-B500 - a Breakthrough Camera PhoneHiya! As I’ve promised this post is going to be about camera phones! Great, isn’t it?:) Here we’ll debate their efficiency and usability as photocameras.
I’d dare to say that among a range of all camera phones currently in existence we can distinguish several generations. They differ in their functionality, capacity and workability: in the amount of megapixels, memory storage and type of a zoom.
It won’t come as a surprise to you if I conclude that all the above-mentioned parameters of these “magic” cell phones influence:
- first, resolution (or quality) of their shots
- and, second, their price.
Quite naturally, both of these factors can be viewed either as their attractions or as their drawbacks. I’m sure, you are sober enough to guess that
- pluses are when resolution is high and when price is low
- and minuses are when everything is the other way round.
Unfortunately, for the moment there’s no such a camera phone that will combine both the pluses:(( And even more… Until recently there haven’t been one with such an advantage as good resolution!..
Why until recently? That’s easy! Simply because only on January 30 this year the electronics giant Samsung has announced their revolutionary phone featuring a 7.7 megapixel digital camera with 3x optical zoom (!!Note, that all camera phones have digital zoom!!) - Samsung SCH-B500. Moreover, it has a Transflash card slot enough to store high resolution pictures! Besides, its large display functions in a landscape mode, so you can take pictures like using a real digital camera.
But I won’t say a word about this camera’s DMB TV reception, TV-output and MP3 audio playback (all packed in a 18.5 mm body)… as it’s not our domainJ))
Well… My resume:
Normally, camera phones have outdated features if compared to modern digital cameras. But this is not the case with Samsung SCH B500! It resembles more a camera than a mobile phone. Both, in its looks and… its most probable sky-high price:( which is still unknown, but as I see it, will reach the price of an excellent professional digital camera…
So it’s up to you to decide how to spend the same amount of money: on a phone with poor camera or rather on a jolly good amateurish photocamera…
