Customers Reviews 2009-01-08 So disappointed in sound quality I bought this phone because it was recommended by Consumer Reports and I wanted the answering machine with ability for caller id. The sound kept lowering while I talked. I would click it up to the highest volume. which was still too low. I tried it in different rooms, just to be sure that wasn't the problem.
After calling customer service, I mailed it for repair, costing me $10. I was shocked, they do not send back a new phone set, but a refurbished handset!
Guess what? the refurbished phone still has sound problems. I guess I am out of luck. I don't want to keep sending it back for refurbishing at $10 a pop.
| 2009-01-06 Excellent phone with great features You cannot go wrong with a Panasonic phone. The features and options are great and easy to set up and use. The range and clarity is excellent for two-story homes and having a second handset, it can be moved with ease inside and outside of the home. One great feature is the intercom which is very useful. This model has everything you need if you want a complete cordless phone with not taking up too much space. | 2009-01-06 Great phones, great deal. These phones are exactly what we needed in our little condo. Sound clarity is excellent, the answering device is very easy to use, the speakerphone is great. Absolutely no complaints from this user. It's all we wanted or needed in a cordless phone. | 2009-01-05 Best cordless set I have owned I've used this system for more than 18 months and it has performed flawlessly. I've had no difficulty establishing and maintaining clear connections up to 150 feet, I haven't tried from a greater distance. Battery life between charges has been much better than previous cordless sets. The batteries are Ni-Mh AAA which means replacements will be easy to find locally at reasonable prices, my previous cordless models all required proprietary batteries. The extra charging base has made it very convenient to keep at least one handset fully charged at all times. The only feature I miss from former models is a counter for incoming messages. | 2009-01-03 The best cordless phone that I have owned I have had this Panasonic cordless phone for more than a year now. It works great. The sound quality is very good and it has some great features too.
Caller ID:
I love the caller ID where it matches the phone number against the stored number in the phonebook.
Phonebook:
The phonebook feature is good. I am no longer looking for phone numbers from my cellphone or internet directories. I have stored all the numbers that I need.
Intercom:
My wife and I use the intercom a lot when she is in the kitchen and I am in the basement or the garage.
Cordless Range:
I have tried 150 ft and it worked great.
Battery Life:
Goes really good. Now after a year, one handset seems to lose charge soon but the other one still goes for almost a week. In any case it uses the standard AAA batteries so I know I don't have to waste money on proprietary batteries.
Voice quality:
No static or disturbance. The speaker phone with mute facility is great too for my business conference calls.
Answering machine:
I don't use this since I have Vonage and I use the Vonage facility instead.

Panasonic Digital Cameras: Lumix DMC-LZ3 and LZ5Hello, people! Today I’d like to introduce you a comparison of two Panasonic digital cameras of LZ-series.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ3 is a 5 megapixel digital camera with a 2.0 inch LCD display. The LZ5 has a 6 CCD megapixel imager and a 2.5 inch LCD screen.
The both models feature a 6x Optical Zoom lens with a built-in MEGA O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer) and a High Sensitivity mode (ISO 1600), that make possible to take pictures of moving subjects and in low light situations.
The LZ3 and LZ5 spot the image stabilization system and the enhanced Sensitivity mode. These two features are essential for taking sharp and clear images in different situations.
MEGA O.I.S. is the image stabilization system that has two corrective modes. The system prevents graininess and blur caused by hand shaking. Besides, thanks to this feature, the cameras produce perfect shots even in dim light and at night and allow shooting at slow shutter speeds.
The new models have the improved ISO range, which records at up to 1600. The enhanced High Sensitivity mode reduces a handshake effect and improves images of moving subjects.
The DMC-LZ3 and LZ5 incorporates 6x optical zoom lens (equivalent to a 37 – 222 mm zoom on a 35 mm film camera), that can be extended up to 8.3x (7.5x for LZ3) in 3-Megapixel image. The Extra Optical Zoom function allows you to easily capture and magnify subjects in distant locations, as well as to take impressionable photos with soft-focused backgrounds.
The LZ3 and LZ5 models are also equipped with the Venus Engine Plus, that improves image processing in both speed and image quality. It saves energy consumption, making the battery more durable. (The DMC-LZ3 and LZ5 use 2 AA batteries).
The large 2 and 2.5 inch LCD screens are perfect for recording and composing shots as they allow the display of images even in tiny thumbnail size. Besides, the High Angle LCD function makes the cameras easy to view from bottom angle.
The LZ3 and LZ5 have 14 Scene Modes, that help you to get high quality pictures. Thanks to the Simple Mode, the cameras are very easy to use, as it makes most settings automatically. The Movie Mode with built-in microphone records in VGA size at 30 fps.
The cameras are supplied with 14 megabytes of internal memory, and there is a function that makes it possible to copy photos from the built-in memory to the SD Memory Card and vice versa.
The LZ3 is available in silver and the LZ5 – in silver and black. They measure 100 x 62 x 45 mm (3.94 x2.44 x 1.77 inch) and weigh 183g. (LZ3) and 186g (LZ5).
