Customers Reviews 2009-01-08 Don't attempt to use in a Kodak camera! Trying to be both Earth and money conscience, I purchased the Sanyo Eneloop charger and battery combo in early 2007 from Amazon as well as another 8 pack of the batteries. My intention was to use these batteries in my new Kodak digital camera. Ha! I would have better luck taking pictures with an oatmeal box camera then by using these batteries in this camera.
Out of the package, they lasted for a whopping 15 pictures before the camera shut off from low battery. Tried chargeing them, and had more success - 20 pictures before battery death. After many weeks of frustration, I noticed that if I took the batteries out and switch their position in the camera (it only takes two AA by the way), I was able to get an additional 10-15 pictures. Still not even close to what the reviewers and manufacturer were claiming.
Finally, I researched the warranty on the batteries (no information came with the products) and sent all of the batteries and the charger back to the manufacturer with a long letter and got back... all new batteries and the same charger I had sent them. No better luck with the new batteries. In frustration, I even tried charging them on another brand of charger but had only a minimal increase in photo output. Have shelved these as a major waste in the camera and keep 'em on standby of the Wii remotes only now. Have found much better success with photo batteries. According to Kodak tech support, they do not recomend these batteries for their cameras for exactly the same reasons - don't hold up to the load demand.
Please use caution if purchasing these batteries and check with your equipment manufacturer ot see if they are recommended before you invest in the Eneloop product. | 2009-01-08 putting them in my daughter's bouncer for 4 months, still running I put them to my daughter's bouncer for 4 months already. it still has battery. never use any other brands, but I am 100% satisfy with the price and quality, that I don't bother to try others. | 2009-01-07 So Far, So Good! I bought these for my Wii remotes, and they have held up pretty well! I've only had to charge them once amid some pretty serious play with G.H. World Tour! I'm certainly hoping they continue to hold their charge a good long time. Charger is also great! | 2009-01-07 Forget Energizer, Sanyo is better I've thrown out probably 30 of the E-gizer brand NiCads due to FAILURE, not just old age. They just go bad over time, and I even have a killer charger (LaCrosse - recommend it.) These Eneloops keep their charge a long time sitting on the shelf and keep a slightly higher voltage than the Energizers. That could matter when you have multiple in series (i.e., 8 for a 12v system) as it'll give you another volt or so, which could matter since the batteries are already about .15V less than a standard alkaline. I've spent the dough and replaced the Energizers with these. I haven't been using them long (4 months) so it may be a bit premature to guess about useful life. | 2009-01-06 Best rechargeable battery yet! I have had several brands of rechargeable batteries, and these are by far the best, especially for our digital camera. They perform as advertised. Highly recommended!!! | |
