Customers Reviews 2008-09-01 Great product I was very pleased with the lights & reflectors. The price was incredibly low. Arrived on time & in good condition. Will use IGgFactory Inc again. | 2008-07-03 okay, but not enough watts I wanted something that worked. Something that was inexpensive. Something that would let me experiment with studio lighting techniques. This product is all of that, but there's one big problem: it's not nearly bright enough. 26w fluorescent bulbs are, what, equal to a 100w incandescent bulb? That's not enough. You'll be using the window light and cranking your ISO up higher than you imagined necessary on a supposedly lighted shot.
if you're excited about this product, I recommend spending another few bucks to get something with a little higher wattage. | 2008-07-01 Practical If you are into something quick and cheap, practical and easy-- this is your product. I enjoy it a lot since it's quite light and easy to carry/set up.
It might not be fancy and intricate but hey... sometimes that's more headaches and reading than anything else. That's my 10c. | 2008-06-22 Great Came to me in a very good condition and work really good. The material is not very good but come on its just $39 . It gives me good light . | 2008-06-05 Ok but not as useful as I'd like I've used these lights for a while and have taken some decent photos and the light output is ok for small product photography. Anything more and you will be disappointed. They were great to start learning lighting and adjusting to poor lighting challenges but will be quickly outgrown. | |

Camera mobile phones: Phlash for high quality cameraphone photography Hello! Any news?
Well, I also have something to share with you.Good news for the owners of cameraphones! Foxden Holdings, LLC introduced a new Phlash (TM) for mobile phone photography, which enables to take high-quality pictures using your cell phone indoors and at night. The new Plash will drastically improve the quality of mobile phone pictures providing powerful and even lighting.
Cameraphones proved to be extremely popular in today’s mobile phone market, but most of them produce very poor quality images, because only a few of modern phones feature a built-in flash, and even if some do, it is not really competitive. To improve the situation Foxden Holdings has invented the unique universal flash, that can be attached to any cameraphone.
Phlash was designed to assure even and color-balanced full-framing lighting and to avoid hotspots and washouts. As it’s aimed first of all for close-up pictures, it offers optimal performance at a distance of one meter. Replaceable lithium coin-type batteries are able to provide hundreds of brief flash cycles.
Frankly speaking, I was afraid that this novelty will turn out a huge stuff that will inevitably spoil the looks of my tiny phone, but in reality, it’s a small (inch wide), cute-looking sort of button, that can either be stuck to the back of a phone or hung from the mobile via a strap (which is included).
So, what are the advantages:
-
it is 12 times brighter than most built-in flashes;
-
it is compatible with any cameraphone;
-
it is easy to use;
-
and it is fairly good-looking and comparably small.
Well, there are definitely some pluses concerning the novelty and this Phlash is surely a helpful thing. But even with such a powerful device, a mobile phone will never replace a digital camera. Though, it probably is a way-out for those who are in habit of taking quick, candid pictures at restaurants, clubs, or other places with poor lightning, when there is no real digital camera at hand.
I think, that’s all about the new Phlash. Oh, yes… I forgot one important detail – its price is $29.99. cameraphone, flash, mobile phone photography, Foxden Holdings, lithium batteries |
