Product Description The new Travelite V series binoculars incorporate several new features designed to make them more user friendly while enhancing optical performance.Nikon Travelite V binoculars utilize precision ground, multicoated optics, and high index BaK4 prisms for true color rendition, maximum sharpness and enhanced light transmission. The new binoculars use aspherical eyepiece lenses which provide a very flat viewing field and offer markedly improved edge-to-edge sharpness over many conventional lenses. The new Travelite V features large, conveniently located central focus knobs and clicking diopters. Each model in the series features 25mm objective lenses for maximum light gathering.A new, ergonomically contoured, carbon-fiber body makes the Travelite V easy to use for long viewing sessions without physical fatigue. The lightweight body incases a rugged all-metal chassis and is covered with a durable black rubber armor that provides added shock resistance and a positive grip in slippery conditions.

Customers Reviews 2008-10-06 Nikon Travellite binocs First of all, these binocs are very lightweight (but don't feel like a toy) and fold to jacket pocket size, a real plus. Optics also seem to be what I would expect from Nikon. Overall very satisfied for the price. Will probably also buy the higher mag version for home use. Great glasses to take along on a hike for birding etc., esp. if you are also carrying camera gear and don't want to be weighted down. | 2008-09-21 Good Entry Level Purchased for a relative and within a budget limit. for the price, the Nikon's are a good value but clearly not for a more serious user. As a birder, I have a Nikon Monarch- considerably more money and size but the best optics for the money. | 2008-09-06 Nice binocs but not much better than my ten dollar ones These binoculars are nice; took them on a long western trip to see some national parks. I took along a second pair of 10 dollar binoculars and these Nikon's weren't a whole lot better in clarity or field of view. They have a nice case which I kept in a camera backpack with my backup cameras; easy to adjust from my view without glasses to my husband's who wears glasses. We will certainly use them, but some cheaper ones may be just as good for your use. | 2008-06-06 Stellar Choice I bought these to take to Africa on safari. They are incredibly easy to hold steady, focus and produce an image that staggered me in its sharpness. They are so light you almost don't know they are there. I also own a pair of Zeiss 10X50,they are nice but very heavy and I would rather have my Nikon binocs any day. Great product at a great price. | 2008-05-31 Small but good We wanted a small binoculars for occasional use. Nikon pretty much does what it says - compact, good quality. Had it only 2 weeks, so I don't know how it will hold up, but seems well built | |
