Customers Reviews 2008-08-19 Kodak USB Digital Camera Cable Cable works as it should. I lost my original one and had to replace it. Found it here for a great price compared to everywhere else. | 2008-08-08 Worked Perfectly I ordered this item after I saw that my old one was damaged, it worked perfectly, was compatable with my camera and I have no problems with it at all. | 2008-08-04 Highway Robbery for a proprietary cable! I've used a number of Kodak digital cameras over the years - And at one time, I would recommend them exclusively to my family members, but I am pretty angered by Kodak's use of non-standard USB jacks and then gouging their customers when a replacement is needed.
If they used a standard USB to mini-USB cable, I could get it for five to ten bucks.
Many of the camera's that need this cable can be purchased refurbished now for about twice the price of the cable! It is insane to pay 1/2 the total price of a piece of equipment just to replace the USB cable to the device.
Kodak has lost a long time customer (with purchasing influence over multiple house holds) because of this kind of business practice.
I'd have given this cable zero stars if possible. | 2008-08-03 Kodak USB Cable The cable was exactly what I needed. It arrived in a timely fashion and works great. | 2008-07-21 Kodak USB Cable Model U-8 After being totally unable to find this cable anywhere locally I finally found it on Amazon.com. It fit perfectly. Shipment was fast and the product was well protected. | |

Kodak digital cameras: V610Hello! One more recent novelty that is worth mentioning is the Kodak Easyshare V610, which was introduced last week.
The Kodak Easyshare V610 is a dual lens digital camera that has two 6 megapixel sensors, a 10x optical zoom and a 2.8 inch LCD display with 230,000 pixels.
The V610 model is the smallest digicam in the world with a 10x zoom range (equivalent to 38-380mm). Due to Kodak Retina Dual Lens Technology, the camera features two Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon all-glass prism zooms in the same camera (a zoom lens of 38-114mm and a second zoom lens of 130-380mm). And for each lens the model offers two 1/2.5 inch, 6 megapixel sensors.
Moreover, the new V610 is one of the first digital cameras that incorporate Bluetooth wireless technology for transferring shots from or to other devices, which are up to 30 feet away.
The novelty captures high-resolution images at high shutter speed that has a range of 8 secs. – 1/2000th sec. It also features 5 ISO speeds ranging from 64 to 800, and its maximum aperture is f/3.9 (wide) -f/4.4 (tele) for the 38-114mm lens and f/4.8 for the 130-380mm zoom lens.
Overall the Kodak V610 has 23 Scene Modes including an Auto exposure mode. The novelty also incorporates an advanced Video Mode with sound that allows recording 640x480 VGA movies with 10X optical video zoom at 30fps. Built-in video-specific image stabilization technology helps to reduce the effects of camera-shake from hand and camera movement. The mode uses MPEG-4 compression for optimal quality and storage size and the length of video is limited only by your memory card.
For better results of you digital photography, Kodak incorporates 3 auto-focus systems - TTL-AF, multi-zone AF and center spot AF. Besides, you can choose from Single, Continuous, Macro or Landscape focus – that will be especially helpful for beginners. And an AF assist lamp will make the process of focusing even easier assisting in low-light situations along with the 4 flash modes (auto, off, fill, red-eye reduction).
With the V610 you’ll take natural color pictures thanks to its 5 different colour effects, which are High Color, Natural Color, Low Color, Black and White and Sepia. Besides, you can choose between 3 sharpness adjustments (High, Normal and Low) according to the situation.
The Kodak V610 supports the ImageLink and PictBridge printing standards, and it connects to a computer via USB 2.0. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack (3.7V, 720mAh). You can use 28 Mb out of 32Mb of internal memory for picture storage.
In appearance, the V610 model resembles its predecessor, the V570. It is a pocket-size digicam that is packed in a sleek black metal body and has dimensions of 111 × 55.5 × 23.2 mm, and weight of 160g. It will be available soon this month for about $500 price.
