Customers Reviews 2008-07-21 I don't think so...
Are you kidding me? Over $100 for this?
The whole camera outfit is only a few dollars more.
2 Generics for $8 worked for me.
Also, batteries on my older Casio lasted forever, and was able to take more pics per charge. | 2008-06-15 Bad product On my 2nd Casio NP-20. This is a very poor product. Will charge for a while and then suddenly will not hold a charge. Casio makes a decent camera but their batteries are garbage. | 2008-06-12 OK until they fail - (frequently) I'm on my third "genuine" Casio battery in one year. The $5 generic batteries seem to work just as good. Contact Casio for warranty first- they'll send out a new battery and acknowledge that they frequently fail | 2008-05-01 Good camera, bad charger We have three of these cameras mostly because they are thin and easy to put in our pockets or my daughters small purses. They get alot of use and the only issue we've found is with the charger. We thought we were having battery problems, but the issue was really with the charger. My advise...make sure the charger red light is blinking before you walk away and think you're charging your battery. | 2008-04-29 So far....so good. Yes, I received an original OEM battery and so far it has worked well. I am cautiosly optimistic that it will last longer than the original that came with my camera. I'm hoping it too doesn't succumb to the blinking red light of death. | |

Casio digital cameras: EX Z1000Hi1! This time of year is not very rich in new announcements, but there still have been unveiled a few digital cameras during last weeks. So, let us have a closer look at the new Casio EX Z1000.
The Casio EX Z1000 is a compact digital camera which has a 10 megapixels CCD imager, 2.8 inch LCD screen and IS0 3200. It is remarkable for a new Zoom Continuous Shutter mode that makes possible to compare a wide angle and a telephoto shot in the same display. In addition, you can take both shots simultaneously.
The novelty belongs to Casio EXILIM ZOOM series, which is known for its stylish and slim designs and compact sizes. The cameras of this series are considered an easy to use devices and among their other pluses, I’d also mention intuitive controls, large displays, and long battery life.
The EX-Z1000 boasts a new wide-format 2.8 inch LCD display with impressive 230,400 pixels. Its bright and clear monitor gives a detailed, high-resolution images and data. Its maximum brightness is1200cd/m2 that promises easy shot viewing in bright light. And thanks to its extra screen space, you can view simultaneously a wide angle and a telephoto shot, and a convenient right side set of icon controls.
The Caseo EX-Z1000 is a high resolution camera that has an effective 10.1 million pixels and spots the EXILIM Engine high-performance image processor. It also has a high dynamic range, 1/1.8 inch CCD, which delivers low-noise imaging. With such high indices the camera produces high-end, sharp shots even in very large sizes.
The EX-Z1000 features a built-in Anti Shake DSP that helps to reduce blur resulting from hands shaking and moving subjects. Besides, it incorporates BEST SHOT function with high sensitivity shooting mode, up to a maximum of ISO 3200, that will also increase the quality of your images.
The EX-Z1000 also features the Quick Shutter function that allows for fast focusing, reducing focusing error. Its Movie Mode shoots movies in VGA size (640x480 pixels) at 25 frames per second (Motion JPEG). The camera enables high speed flash photography thanks to its Rapid Flash function which allows you to take up to three shots per second. The novelty has also a good battery life able to take up to 360 shots.
The new camera is quite a powerful device packed in a small package. It measures 92 x 58.4 x 22.4 mm and weighs 139g. It will be available soon this month for approximately $600.
