Works great, i returned a Tiffen
As a long time photographer i needed this filter, would not consider buying any lens without one.
The canon was a good price and does what it says it will do.
i just returned a tiffen filter as it was not as smooth screwing on or off. so not to sound like an employee of canon this thing works. no streaks or haze when i bought it(means it's fresh)and locked it on and that is that.

Bad Quanlity
I couldn't believe I bought such item from amazon. I am really disappointed. It's the worst item i ever buy from online. I want rate this item with ZERO star.

Okay Lens but becareful ...
I recently purchase this bundled with a Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. Because the curved glass of the lens this filter will not screw down all the way and the filter rests against the glass of the lens. I will definitely be heading down to Ritz to replace this filter immediately. I'm sure this is a nice cheap filter if it works with your lens.

Not good for Aviation Spotting.
I have a Canon 100-400L IS and this filter works good but I use this lens mostly for Aviation Spotting and the problem that I have is that when any light from the airplane like the landing gear lights are on, I'll get some very nasty reflections so I don't recommend this for this particular activity.

ok, but you may be better off with no filter at all
if you're using a hood for your lens, you probably don't need a UV filter, but if you shoot a lot without a hood, this might be a good option.

Digital Camera Reviews: Canon PowerShots SD600, SD630, SD700 IS

Hello! Today we continue with our Canon digital cameras reviews. But in this post we will dwell on another series: Canon PowerShot SD. If you are not against, we will act on our old worked-out scheme, i.e. compare several cameras of the same series but of different level of production, I mean features and capabilities. We will distinguish between their similarities and differences and note this down in 2 tables. (But if you have any objections, advice or wishes, you are welcome with them any time! I’ll be extremely happy to read and to take them in consideration, as well as try to fulfill.) And today we are going to have a look at Canon PowerShot SD 600, SD630 and SD700 IS that will be available in April 2006. To be more exact, now we’ll delimit their properties and next time we’ll discuss their features, all the pros and cons in a more detailed way.
