Customers Reviews 2009-10-27 Telephoto Converter Lens Olympus TCON-1.7x make my SP-560-UZ Camera much better, the hight quality lens work great taking pictures of Wildlife and Birds from very long distances, the zoom is great and the images are very clear. | 2009-10-14 Olympus TCON-1.7x Teleconverter Lens The Olumpus TCON-1,7x Telephoto Converter Lens has performed very well. Has now turned my Panasonic FZ28 into a powerful Super Zoom Camera. This combination is a great alternative to investing in an SLR with a
lens of simialr power. In order to have this type of magnification with an SLR lense you would have to spend thousands of dollars. Don't expect it to match the qualtiy of a professional SLR and high power lens.
But at approximately $100.00, it is a no brainer. Using this teleconverter lens with my panasonic camera does reduce the wide angle of 27mm to 55mm but the added magnification is a real bonus. Comes with a nice
lens case and protective caps. I see no reason to pay 3 times as much for the Panasonic Teleconverter Lens. The Olympus seems to perform just as well, according to the reviews out there. Over all I am very happy with this purchase. | 2009-10-04 Excellant conversion lens I bought this lens to work with my Panasonic dmc fz28 camera. There is a similar lens that panasonic makes but it costs twice as much and what I read about this lens was that it worked as well. I have the adapter and i needed a step up ring that I purchased from Ritz camera for eight dollars. I now get the equivalent of a thirty power optical zoom and a digital zoom of 120x. You need to be very stable with that kind of zoom but my shots have been very good. I am a birder and like to get shots of birds in their nests and birds flying and this works for both. I have a friend with over a thousand dollar dslr and a thousand dollar 600 mm lens and my shots of the same thing are comparable and my camera cost less than $300 and this lens was under a hundred. Now I'm not saying that I can reproduce the same quality in all areas but even my friend admits that my shots are very good at bringing in far away objects. I highly recommend this lens. I had one that i bought from china that caused lots of fringing and this doesn't do that. If you don't believe me do a google search with my camera and this lens and you can see shots taken on safari using this combo. | 2009-03-10 Olympus TCON-1.7x Telephoto Converter Lens A quality product with excellent optics. A great alternative for my Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ30 instead of the expensive one Panasonic sells. Highly recommended! | 2009-02-04 dissapintment !!!!! I was sent the wrong item. Inside the box was a wide angle lens. When I called customer service they told me to mail it back and order another lens. However, there were no lens in stock. It took 3 weeks to get my credit and I was double billed because of the extreme slowness of the returns department. What a joke! I was charged as soon as the WRONG item was shipped too me but it takes Amazon over 3 weeks to get my credit back and I have to pay for their mistakes and ther inability to have enough stock on hand to purchase another lens. So now I'm still without what I was looking for and had now I have to purchase it from another company. Also customer service was lousey. It was very hard to understand the representative while they spoke and it was also very hard to explain to them what had happened. Thanks for nothing. | |
