Customers Reviews 2010-03-08 8 hour blank tapes just to say the VHS tapes are great and all are 8 hours long for taping | 2010-03-01 Happy with tapes I use these tapes to record and re-record TV programs, and so far, I'm pleased with them. | 2010-02-21 Very poor perfomance Okay, let's face it. There are probably only about eight people left in the United States who still record TV shows on videotape. I'm one of them. And my needs are incredibly simple. I just want a videotape that will do three things:
1. Record images and sounds to the same degree of fidelity as the TV
2. To work with different videotape players with respect to time counters
3. To work with different videotape players with respect to the "markers" that indicate when a new recording begins.
After using old videotapes, I decided to buy a slew of new ones and, like an idiot, I thought: "Sony!" How bad could they be?"
Well, after trying 10 of them I can say they can be (and are) very bad. Yes, they capture the images and sound reasonably, but they fail at #2 and #3 above. When played, you can't track where you are with a time counter. And they don't register new recording index marks.
Previously, I had used Maxell and never had problems. Guess I'll throw these away and go back to Maxell.
I'd sincerely suggest you pass on these. | 2010-01-31 Great New Tapes The VCR Tapes arrived promptly, and were perfect. Brand new, and a reasonable price. | 2009-12-21 Colaw's choice I was very satisfied with the quality and the speed with which the order was filled, shipped, and received. | |

Sony Cameras HistorySONY Corporation is a multinational corporation with headquarters in Minato, Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the leading manufacturers of electronics, video, communications, video game consoles and information technology products. The very name “Sony” is derived from sonus, the Latin word for sound.
The history of SONY Corporation dates back to the spring of 1946 when an entrepreneur Akio Morita and a promising young engineer Masaru Ibuka opened a modest radio engineering workshop in Tokyo. At that times markets were not abound in technological products; that’s why they were free to develop any direction in electronics. So, as soon as in 1951 Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation have launched Japan's first tape recorder called the Type-G.
The invention of transistor opened new horizons in the world of electronics. In 1957 Telecommunications Engineering Corporation came out with a transistor radio. Though being not the first to do this, it was SONY to make radios commercially successful for the first time. Their serial production was already under the brand SONY, so both the product and the brand won worldwide recognition.
By the 70-s SONY Corporation have become the world’s biggest audio and video equipment manufacturer. In I964 they produced first desk calculator. In 1968 ... More About Sony Cameras |
