I know that earlier or later every photographer - beginner, intermediate or advanced - realizes that he needs some system to keep his images.
There are a few popular sofftware applications that will resolve this problem:
If You Want Prints - www.kodakgallery.com
If You Like to Share - www.shutterfly.com
If You Like Slide Shows - www.dotphoto.com
more solutions are available here |

Or, get a Mac and use iPhoto for organizing, printing, sharing and slideshows.
Shoot RAW? Get Aperture.
Either will let you post galleries to the web, print books, posters, calendars, contact sheets and will manage tens of thousands of images.
I use Aperture to order lab prints and have them drop-shipped to family/friends and with a single click or publish dozens of photos to my .Mac account. |

What's wrong with ACDSee? You can organize your photos, preview, print and make slide shows. It even comes with a RAW plug-in for most camera types.

Yes, I like Bridge most of all. It's really handy to copy-paste the adjustments in the raw format in it. And of course, organizing itself )) _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |

I'm a Mac user, so my tool is iPhoto. It is a wonderful organizational tool. Especially with it's facial recognition.
But for the likely majority, I would recommend Picasa. It's free from google and can even do basic retouching.
I don't believe in using an online system for your primary storage. All they have to do is change their License Agreement or decide to charge you or even just shut down.
MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL: have a backup routine!!
Here is mine for my 180GB of photos: automated sync to a separate internal hard drive every sunday morning at 2AM, then every month, manual backup to an external mini USB drive that I store at work in case of fire.
once you set up the sync, you don't even have to think about it. Hard drive failures are too common to not have a backup plan. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/memento/

Hello!
I found this program that allows me to organize my digital photos and edit them as well. I can even share them with others via email, send them to a internet printing source, print them locally, and view them as a slideshow.
Memory Manager is fantastic and I think anyone with a digital camera should own this program. For only $39.95, you can sort via date, who is in the picture, where the photo was taken, or whatever you categorize the photo.
Within a few clicks, I am able to find all the photos from a certain event, that have my son in them from 2007. Absolutely irreplaceable. _________________ TeraDepot.Com - Best Free Online Image Sharing Service. |
