I found very interesting poll results conducted by J.D. Power and Associates. They show that only 26% of consumers would buy another camera of the same brand. 63% of consumers use the Internet for independent reviews and research before purchasing, while only 33% use consumer product publications for research.

In my opinion, most cameras coming from well known brands and from the same price range offer the same quality. As a result no sense to stick to one brand.
It is just an idea of mine. |

| it is probably easier and cheaper to change a brand if you have a point-and-shot digicam, but the owners of SLRs don't want to spend money on lenses each time they buy a new camera. |

We usually choose those brands which we know better, or, probably follow smb's example.

| Another thing that sometimes influences buyer's decision is BUZZ. If people discuss some model much there is a high probability that you will choose that one. |
