Samsung has developed the 3 inch LCD for digital cameras with a full VGA (640 x 480) resolution. Most digital camera LCD monitors are QVGA; 320 x 240, so Samsung is the first to offer the LCD screen of such resolution. Besides it operates at 30 Hz instead of the standard 60 Hz.
But those who want to buy a digital camera with a new LCD will have to wait till 2007, when Production is due to start.

I guess the price will be rather high - they have no competitors and would like to take advantage of their innovation.
