I take my camera everywhere with me though I don't always find things to take pictures of. When I am working I just leave the camera in the car (under a blanket so no one sees it and gets ideas). I also will carry my camera to the grocery store and other such places, it never hurts. Part of my inspiration comes from wanting to have enough photos so that towards the end of the year I can make a scrapbook for the coffee table or ideally a scrapbook of my boyfriend/the two of us for his/my parents.
I have started the photo a day thing as my new year's revolution. Unfortunately I already missed a day (Jan 3rd), but I made it up by posting extra pictures on Jan 2nd and Jan 4th. The pictures I have posted so far aren't anything to write home about, but its at least a start. Plus it will help me track progress over the year.
Other pictures that I don't post as my photo of the day I either post on my blogspot or in my MySpace albums, usually both since I have different readers on each. (I tried posting links to my blogspot and myspace, but I can't do that yet because I am to new, will do it later though.)
The last couple days I haven't had anything to take a picture of which is disappointing, but I am sure I will find something. I agree with the photo a day article; take a picture of anything just take a picture. It might not be anything particularly interesting or note-worthy, but in the long run you will develop an idea of what can be pictured and what can't. (For example, I decided I would try to take a picture of a record, for the texture contest, but I couldn't get the look/feel I wanted after numerous tries so I took a picture of something else. I will still work on taking the record picture and now it helps to know what doesn't work.) |

| I try to take my cam everywhere I go, but there are situations when I should take a picture in secret (so nobody could see it). That's when I use my cell phone cam. But I'm trying to avoid using it on my classes as the professors in the University don't like cell phones at all. |

my digi is always in my bag. wallet, phones, digicam. a staple.
true, i don't always find something to take photos of, but i'd rather have it in my bag unused then need it and realize i don't have it. the daily grind may sometimes leave us uninspired, but the truth is, i think i'm quite lucky. i travel through rice fields every morning, meet interesting people when i decide to go out at night and always have tons of culture around me. (i live in Bali.) there's always a photo op... if i open my eyes instead of putting blinders on when i go on automatic pilot to go through my day. =P _________________ I love this crazy, tragic, sometimes almost magic, awful, beautiful life. |

It seems i always find myself wishing i had a camera. Like today when i was sitting outside on my lunch hour and a bird hopped onto a branch right in front of me. My cell wouldn't have captured it, but it would have made me cringe at the blur.
I am not lucky enough to be able to take my camera to work with me. Unfortunately they would assume i was trying to take "trade secret" photos or
someone would rush to HR for infringing on their person.
I tend to take my Digi everywhere else though. Especially when i'm going hiking or out to a horse ranch. I can never seem to capture enough of the outdoors. |

I feel naked if I leave home without a camera. I always have at least my
Canon SD850 and often my Canon XTi. I never know when I'll come across a shadow, flower, leaf, or other object just begging to shot. |

Well, there's something I can tell you all about. I almost always have the camera in my hand. I stay home 24/7. BORING !! So, I humor myself and make a game with the camera. Photos include: my drooping plants, sneaking up behind my dog, sneaking up behind my husband, stacking the spices into strange shapes and making them smile. Then outside, neighbors driving by, squirrels being silly, flowers, old machinery.
I drive down the road taking photos of anything, inside the stores, peoples feet as they walk past me. The list goes on. Will be going on the train for a couple days, those photos should be pretty interesting. Just have fun with what you are doing and I am never serious. |

| We have flowers and a cat. Both are very photogenic. In the spring and summer I take pictures of the flowers whenever they come into bloom. I am also fascinated by bugs. Yesterday when I walked out on the deck there was the weirdest caterpillar on the railing, so I ran in to get the camera and took several pictures. I rarely go more than 3 days without taking a picture. |

Anytime I'm outside my camera is close by. I may take 100 shots of whatever I see but only keep a handful.
Yesterday I was fiddling around with the roses and movement caught the corner of my eye. One of the wild rabbits was chasing a neighbors cat I did manage to get a pic of the bunny and cat but the cat moved if the bunny made a move so it didn't really capture what was happening. Sure was funny to watch though lol After the fact I remembered the movie mode on the camera. DOH! |

Frankly speaking, I don't take my camera everywhere. It's too heavy for carrying it all the day. So I take it if I know that it won't dangle on my neck from 12 till 12 or if I plan some shooting (parties, walk with friends, if someone asks me to shoot, pics for photocontests etc)
so.. I almost always take my camera with me _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |
