I've recently noticed that I have a problem with color representation in one of my computers. I edit my photos in Photoshop CS2 there.
If I open the same photo in Photoshop and in ACDSee I get different color representation - the picture looks more saturated in ADCSee.
I haven't changed anything in Photoshop settings (I use sRGB color space).
Everything I did is I changed Color Quality from 16 bit to 32 bit in display parameters.
Or maybe it's my graphic card went crazy? (it's rather old).
Can anyone give me any suggestions? _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |

| Check color space in your display properties also. Display properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Color Management. |

Almost all monitors have some variation in the way they represent color.
In addition to the suggestions offered by Alexandra where you can adjust color temperature and gamma settings for a particular monitor, there are devices which can be purchased that will allow you to calibrate your monitors and printers precisely. Any good photography site will have them available. I usually go to Adorama.com.

Aleksandra, oh, thanx. It was Adobe color space there. I've changed it to sRGB but the difference in saturation remained.
Then I dug in the Photoshop settings, tried changing different color settings and stopped on the Monitor Color settings. Now my images are represented in the same way in different software.
JLW, thanx. I've also heard that I can call some specialist to calibrate my monitor. But now I don't think I'm going to buy this kind of stuff, it's better for me to buy a new monitor instead _________________ my photos are O.K. to edit |
