I'm not sure if I can technically call it a "photo shoot", but my friend is coming over this afternoon to be my "model" so I can practice taking portraits. We will probably spend a couple hours on it considering the outfit and make-up changes so I can only hope that I will get at least a few good shots. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. (Hopefully, I am posting this early enough so you all can reply in time, then again it doesn't really matter since I would take notes and use them for future reference anyway.)
Thanks in advance,
Trina |

| I took a lot (73) pictures today, but a lot of them were just playing with settings and only a handful turned out. I haven't had time to go through all of them or edit them yet, but here are two that I think turned out really good. (I haven't made technical adjustments to them, just resized and copyright them.) |

I love afternoons like that, they're so much fun!
I like the second shot the best. |

Thanks Trisha
I uploaded the rest of the pictures to my Myspace (www.myspace.com/graciesphilosophy). Wednesday I sacrificed my sleep...again...(lol) to take headshots of an actor friend from out of town. I haven't had time to edit and upload these yet because I spent yesterday afternoon until about 14 minutes ago catching up on much needed sleep.
I am so excited. My boss from my day job is going to let me take pictures of his son practicing baseball so that I can practice taking action shots. After I get it figured out, later this spring he is going to suggest to the coach that I be the team photographer. This could be a "big break", giving me enough money to get a good light kit, possibly business cards and such. At least it will get me set to be ready to start taking senior pictures next fall. I never thought it would be so easy, especially considering how competitive photography is. Word of mouth so works in this career choice. |
