I admit, I'm not that crazy about the frames and borders. If you look through my house, you'd find the ones on the walls with either the simplest frames I can find, or else just glass held together by little clips.
So, I'm still wondering, what do you think can be improved on that one of the icicle and leaf? I love it the way it is!
Chief, the cabin shot is beautiful! Merry Christmas to you, too! |

Thank you guys for the great thread. I have made notes while going through the first page (JLW & Chieflong's ideas)... and enjoyed reading/ looking through 2-4 pages. _________________ New here? Welcome to our community! |

TrishW... Re the leaf photo..
This shot was taken while on a walk just after a recent ice storm here in Dorothy land. It's a snap shot. I could upload two other photos I took at the same tree of different frozen leaf groupings that aren't worth looking at. Anyhow.. the lucky one ( it's shown just as it came out of the camera)could have been taken with a lil smaller apature and the ice leg on the lower right of the photo would have been in as sharp a focus as the main subject... All about the "depth of field"
As for the Post about the puppy picture. You are all very good observers. The only thing missed was the black line ( hair or something) across the white part of the pup's muzzel just below his eyes. I did sharpen the image just a bit and took out the white speck by the pup's eye (proly a dropped pixel) ( I'd keep an eye out to see if that turns up in any other photos Chief) I didn't really brighten the whole image... I just raised the tonal quality of the blue so it was consistant with the rest of the image...That really made the pup's eyes pop!
Hey ... I told you it was nit pickin..

Glad to see the geese are on there way back. Only means the golf course will be open soon 'cause that seems to be the only place they know where to crap! Usually right on my putting line!!
Go for the contest with the frame - should be fun!!

| funny denise. i dont know if the chief will like it tho. as far as the frames go, i am talking about small pictures in contests. i think it takes something away from the photo. frames on a wall are entirely different. |
