Problem with the "Contact Us" option

Okay. I am new here and do not see another place to post this question. I hope that you can help me. I tried to use the "Contact Us" link to ask a particular question and it would not recognize my email address; says it is invalid. It can't be, as it is the one I registered with and even rec'd an email from shotaddict there. How can I get this resolved so that I can ask my question. BTW my question is this: (Maybe someone can help with it also??) I was wondering how to get into the advanced membership. I know...the site says to have entered so many contests, etc. I noticed a guy who had only been a member since Oct. 28 and who has only entered 1 contest and not voted or commented on anyone's photos. I believe he is a professional photographer. Is that why he is able to go on to be an advanced member so quickly? Also, I cannot get my avatar to show up on my profile photo. Is that only possible when you become an advanced member or win a contest? (Maybe I just don't have the hang of that part yet. :-)
